Golden-coloured liquid bottles are replaced by baby feeding bottles, a sock and loose change underneath the sofa cushion is all dusted and vacuumed lest your little one gets a hold of it and similar changes that come by, no one in the world but a baby, can totally change you for the good! And at this point in time, who can vouch for this better than Barun Sobti and his wife, Pashmeen Manchanda. Barun Sobti and Pashmeen Manchanda had gotten married on December 12, 2010. After 8 blissful years of marriage, the duo had surprised us when their industry friends posted dreamy pictures from Pashmeen’s baby shower. And it was only later when Barun had confirmed his wife’s pregnancy when she was just about to pop. And soon enough, came a piece of wonderful confirmation from the elated daddy, who shared with the TOI, that he has now officially entered the parents’ club! He had then stated, “Yes, the news is right. She was born last Friday (June 28). We have named her Sifat. It feels amazing and can't be described in words."
While the birth date and name of Barun Sobti and Pashmeen Manchanda's little one was revealed by the newbie daddy himself, we all were eager to see how adorable his little one will be! And thus, adhering to all our metal wishes, Barun took to Instagram and shared a couple of beautiful close-ups of his little darling, with her name ‘Sifat Sobti’ written in the caption. Almost about to be three-months-old now, Barun shared a glimpse of the little one when she was one-month-old and two pictures of the all-ecstatic daddy, showering his little one with pecks! Barun Sobti and Pashmeen Manchanda were mum about the latter’s pregnancy until we saw beautiful pictures from her babymoon. The Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actor was asked the reason for hiding his wife’s pregnancy. He had then replied, “It was not a plan to hide anything. We told everyone when one is supposed to when pregnant. The baby shower was lovely and it was great to see how much people love you.” Further talking about how he is balancing the role of a to-be father (then) and work, the actor had stated, “I am exhausted as I have been shooting and running around and taking care of my wife. But I am happy. Barun Sobti had also revealed that there is a high possibility that he will be the strictest kind of father to his child. The newbie daddy was quoted as saying, “I have not thought about what kind of a parent I would be but I think both of us are prepared in our own way. Moreover, I feel nothing can really prepare you for parenthood as you learn along the way when your baby comes and how you bring your child up. We are ready for the surprises that will come along the way (laughs). I am a realistic person so I think I will be a realistic kind of father to my child. Who knows how you handle the situation that you come across after you become a parent. Being a parent is a huge responsibility.”
Coming back to the camaraderie shared between Barun Sobti and his wife, Pashmeen Manchanda, in an interaction with the Hindustan Times, the former had stated, “Since the day I got married, I never got to plan my birthday.” He had further gone to add, “My wife (Pashmeen Manchanda) does everything. She usually has a surprise ready. She gifted me a guitar once with the expectation that I would learn to play the instrument, but it never happened. I do plan to learn it soon because I feel I need to acquire lot more talent.”
Speaking about if Barun Sobti and his wife, Pashmeen Manchanda fight, the 35-year-old actor had shared, “There haven’t been any lows as such, but like any other couple, we fight on and off.” Once asked in an interview, what she dislikes about him and Barun had replied, "That I presume things at times. She says, ‘How can you understand what I am thinking if I haven’t even told you about it yet?" Explaining the rapport they share, Barun had revealed, "My wife knows that I love her too much so she is fine with the intimate scenes I do. She understands my work as an actor."
