Babita Phogat has made India proud and has won many medals in the field of wrestling. Babita and Vivek were last seen on the silver screen on the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 9 and more than their breathtaking performances, it was Vivek’s cuteness and Babita’s sincerity that had won many hearts. Vivek had proposed Babita on the sets of Nach Baliye 9 and had made our heart flutter with their cute love story. Raveena Tandon had asked Vivek how he would propose to Babita if he got a chance. Babita’s pre-wedding festivities were no less and were filled with happiness and joy. Babita and Vivek’s pre-wedding rituals had begun with the ‘Baan’ ceremony and the entire Phogat household had gathered to shower blessing on Babita. Babita shared a sneak-peek into the shaadi ki pehli rasam, wherein she had looked super happy and stunning. The picture had Babita sitting down, where her cousin and his wife, are carrying out the baan ritual. For those who are wondering what this ritual is, baan embarks the beginning of the first ritual in a wedding, wherein the ladies or elders of the house apply haldi ubtan on the bride-to-be, a day before or a few days before the wedding to ensure that her skin glows on her D-day. Sharing the picture, Babita wrote, “Shaadi ki pehli rasam.” And in one video, shared by Babita, the family members and relatives could be seen having a fun moment with the soon-to-be bride. After ‘shaadi ki pehli rasam’, it was time for mehendi ceremony. On November 30, 2019, it was Babita’s mehendi ceremony and her wide grin was enough to tell that she was all excited and set to enter the new phase of her life. Babita had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared pictures from her mehendi ceremony. Dressed in an Indo-western attire, Babita had looked stunning and was beaming with joy. In the pictures, we could see Babita’s sisters accompanying her and cherishing the movement.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Vivek Suhag had shared that participating in Nach Baliye 9 was a surprise to him by Babita Phogat. He had shared, “I had no clue about it. Babita finalised everything and then surprised me with the contract. Since it’s such a big platform and we both enjoy dancing, I was more than happy to take it up.” Though the duo couldn't reach the finals, their stunning performances had won many hearts.
Talking to The Times of India, Babita Phogat had revealed how she had met Vivek Suhag and how love happened between the two. Babita had shared, “It was an event for wrestlers at a hotel in Delhi where we first met. Bas wahan dosti ho gayi. We stayed in touch and in time, we realised that we liked each other. I like how he is very straightforward but still respects others.” She had also revealed that Vivek was nervous at the very thought of talking to her father, Mahavir Phogat, about their relationship. She was quoted as saying, “Senior hain woh kaafi aur unki reputation bhi hai.
