Tahira and Ayushmann had a filmy start to their love story. In an interview with the DNA, Tahira had revealed the details of their first meeting, “We would go to the same Physics class and I had a crush on Ayushmann. I never thought we’d talk. Also, in Chandigarh, if a girl is slightly good looking, the boys keep hounding her. In most cases, it’s like harassment. But he didn’t approach me throughout the year and I was like, here’s one guy who isn’t troubling me.”
Ayushmann has millions of girl fan following but his heart has been booked by Tahira a long-long time ago, even before he realised his dream of becoming an actor. Recently, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, the actor revealed that he doesn’t allow his children to watch his films and the reason will shock you. He said, “My kids are not allowed to watch my films. They will see every other film - Gully Boy, Varun Dhawan's films, everything. I am conscious in a way. He also went on to reveal another reason, and stated “They should not treat me as a star.” He further talked about his kids knowing his stardom, and shared, “It used to be strange, but now they are fine with it. They have accepted it. The idea is to keep them away from the arclights. They should live a normal life.”
Earlier, in an interview with Anupama Chopra, Tahira had talked about her insecurities when Ayushmann entered Bollywood. She had revealed, “I was this crazy, insecure pregnant person when Vicky Donor happened and that was the worst phase for both of us. I think both of us were very immature. He didn’t have the maturity to kind of hold my hand and tell me it’s ok, especially, when I am crazy on my hormones because I was pregnant at the time and I also didn’t have the maturity to just take it easy and know this thing will get over.”
She had further added, “Both of us lacked maturity. Then you also feel like a whale and considering your husband is with beautiful women all around and you don’t come from that background. Even if you have the maturity, the passion and you understand art, you don’t have the maturity to deal with the frills that come along.”
Tahira also talked about the time when they found a firm footing together to sustain their relationship, and had shared, “I was very lost and so was he. But thankfully, for us knowing each other for the past nine-ten years before marriage really helped because I know that he’s not a bad guy and he knows that she’s not a bad girl.
