The Bollywood-cricket couple, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul have been dating each other for quite some time, but the much-in-love couple had kept it under the wraps entirely for a long time before making an official appearance at Ahan Shetty's film, Tadap's premiere. Now, they often share mushy posts with one another on their respective social media handles. As soon as their relationship was made official, the massive fanbase of the two well-known celebrities had started to adore them as a couple.
Now, reports are rife that Athiya and KL Rahul are planning to tie the knot in 2022. Although none of them had said or hinted towards the possibility of tying the knot, their fans are super-excited and speculating about their wedding. However, now in a recent interview, Athiya opened up about the ongoing reports in the media speculating about her wedding with Indian cricketer, KL Rahul. Here's what she has to say about it!

In an interview with ETimes, Athiya Shetty addressed the much-circulated reports of her wedding with cricketer, KL Rahul and the possibility of moving in together to a new house. In response to all these rumours, Athiya confirmed that she is moving into a new house with her parents, Suniel Shetty, Mana Shetty and her brother, Ahan Shetty. She also opened up about the speculations around her wedding with KL Rahul, and on this, she said that she no longer pays any heed to such rumours and doesn't bother about what people are thinking about her relationship. Athiya said:
"I am not moving in with anyone, but my parents! My family and I will be staying in this brand new home. I am not answering any of these questions. I am tired of all this, now I only laugh them off. Let people think whatever they want to."
In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Athiya Shetty's actor-brother, Ahan Shetty was asked about his sister's wedding plans with her cricketer-boyfriend, KL Rahul. The actor had given a surprising response as he had stated that all the speculations going on in the media are baseless. Adding that he had celebrated Eid with his family at his grandfather's place, Ahan had said:
"We celebrate Eid at our nanu (grandfather's) place every year. We fondly call him Abbu. That is where we dine. As far as the wedding is concerned, there are no arrangements being made. There is no such ceremony, these are all rumours. When there is no wedding, how can we give you a date?"

Going further in the interview, Ahan Shetty had also mentioned that not even the engagement date of his sister, Athiya Shetty and her boyfriend, KL Rahul had been fixed. The doting brother had asked the speculators how could there be a wedding without an engagement. The Tadap actor had also added that there is no wedding in the next few months and had refuted all the speculations going on in the media regarding Athiya and KL Rahul's wedding. Ahan had shared:
"Engagement bhi nahi hui hai. Haal filhaal uski bhi koi planning nahi hai. There is no planning for a wedding in the next few months as well."
