When two people are made for each other, they will look for ways to stay together! No matter how hard it seems or how gloomy the day gets, one look at your lover's face and all your worries of future will evaporate as love is a promise in itself to overcome every obstacle. And an exactly similar love brewed between television couple, Asha Negi and Rithvik Dhanjani. The couple first met each other on their debut show, Pavitra Rishta, however, it wasn't love at first sight. In fact, Asha thought him to be a snob in the initial meetings, and it was much later she realised that he was a gem of a person. We still remember how once, Rithvik labeled his love story as exceptionally crazy and a bit filmy.
After more than five years of togetherness, Asha and Rithvik continue to rule the hearts of their fans, who are eagerly waiting for them to tie the knot. Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Asha opened up about her marriage plans and stated, "I am in a very happy place. We are not in a hurry to get married. We are very happy in each other’s company. Everybody will get to know when it has to happen. We won't do it in hiding. Jab pyaar itne khule aam kia hai toh shadi kyu chupke karenge. Lot of people say that you guys are so open about it and I am like, yes, what is there to hide? We are in love, we are not doing anything wrong." In the same interview, Asha revealed that she has, over the years learned not to associate her happiness with her failures and successes. She stated, "I think I have really worked on myself and what I have realised is that success and failures are so temporary that you should never let your happiness depend on that. I am telling this from my experience because before I took this break, there were two of my projects that did not work and I felt so so bad at that time which affected my self confidence a lot. After that, I told myself that I will take up something where I will be creatively satisfied. Whether it does well or not is secondary, at least I will be satisfied. These years taught me a lot, hence I was very happy after doing Baarish, irrespective of its fate, because I was creatively satisfied with the work."
Coming back to Asha and Rithvik's not so ordinary love story, it was in the year 2013 when Rithvik felt his heart beating for Asha. After which he started dropping hints which were all in vain as Asha was too busy focusing her thoughts on other things. And while the entire world knew about their budding love, Asha was unaware of it. However, she realised her love for Rithvik when the actor played the 'jealousy' card. In an interview with The Times of India, Rithvik had stated, "I was shooting for an episodic with another co-star. I asked Asha to come over to see the rushes of the shoot." To which Ashsa added, "After seeing him with some other co-star, I felt a little jealous — and that was quite strange. We are actors and we are bound to have different co-stars but, I felt bad and that’s when we realised there was something more than friendship between us."
In the same interview, Rithvik had also shared how they never proposed to each other, and had revealed, "No one has proposed to each other. In fact, we didn’t even realise that we were in love. Look, we are not your typical lovebirds who say cheesy things to each other. We are friends who keep playing pranks on each other."
