We had witnessed Sidharth Shukla emerge as a winner of Bigg Boss 13. However, throughout his journey, his past was brought. From his linkup rumours with his co-contestant, Rashami Desai to his broken engagement reports with Arti Singh, Sidharth was always in the news inside the BB 13 house. And if these two were not enough, then his co-contestant, Shehnaaz Gill, had fallen madly in love with him. Shehnaaz and Sidharth’s chemistry had become an instant hit, enough that their friend, Arti Singh was accused of getting in between them.
On September 2, 2021, Sidharth Shukla had breathed his last due to massive cardiac arrest at the age of 40, leaving everyone numb. His friend and Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant, Arti Singh had shared a photo collage to pay her tribute. Along with it, she had written, “Speechless u were not suppose to go so soon sid ..i still cant believe u left all of us . Your fans your family your friends. U will b missed always. Rest in peace..”

In an interview with ETimes, Arti Singh shared that she wasn’t in touch with Sidharth Shukla for the last 2 years as she was blamed for coming in between him and Shehnaaz Gill. She said, “I wasn’t in touch with Sidharth for almost two years. The last time we spoke was on February 15, 2019. Hamaari baat hi nahi hui. I was quite affected by what was being said about my friendship with Sidharth. I was blamed for coming in between Sidharth and Shehnaaz and their friendship. That deeply affected me. After that, I decided to let them be. I didn’t want to come in between their friendship. I am not someone who would want to become a cause of stress in anyone’s life."
Arti further mentioned that she regrets not being in touch with Sidharth. She added, “I regret the fact that I didn’t stay in touch with him. Though I thought of calling him on a couple of occasions, I didn’t because I felt that he was happy aur maine socha ki usse apni zindagi jeene do. I was just happy to see him happy and wanted to let him be. But no one expected something like this to happen. It’s unfortunate and devastating. My heart goes out to Shehnaaz. The incident has taught me to follow my heart.”

For the unversed, before entering Bigg Boss 13's house, Arti Singh was linked with Sidharth Shukla, and there were rumours that their engagement was called off. However, Arti had rubbished the rumours and had stated that there was no truth in these speculations about her personal life. Arti's co-contestant, Shefali Bagga, was seen drilling her in the luxury budget task in one of the episodes. Shefali had attacked Arti by digging into the latter's personal life.
