The enchanting world of Tinseltown has been abuzz with celebrity weddings! And while everyone is tying the knot, we spotted Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor's cousin, Armaan Jain's engagement pictures that have been trending on social media. For those who don't know, Armaan is the son of Karisma and Kareena's bua, Rima Jain and her husband, Manoj Jain. In the year 2014, the rumours of Armaan dating a South Mumbai girl, Anissa Malhotra was making headlines. The couple has been childhood friends and has known each other since they were three. However, in an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, he had denied dating her and had clearly stated that they were just friends.
But looks like Armaan couldn't keep his love hidden away for long. On July 30, 2019, he finally popped the question to his muse, Anissa, and got engaged with her. On July 31, 2019, he shared the picture of the same on his Instagram handle. Along with it, he wrote, "The moment I eagerly waited for 7 years finally arrived, the most nervous moment in my life. The butterflies in my belly all seem a hype when I think of my first school exam or my first shot in front of the camera. You walked in and every sensation went numb. Everything I rehearsed in my mind was out in a jiffy. I finally realised what my yoga teacher said when he meant to go blank and be in the moment."
Armaan further wrote about the big moment, "As I walked you, my most beautiful @anissamalhotra down the aisle and finally onto my knees, my heart was pounding, my mouth was dry, everything was hazy and I felt an unexplainable emotion like I did when I first met you, We’ve come along way Jaan, fought all the odds (come rain come storm) like yesterday as well. Thank you for being my backbone and pillar of strength and sticking with me through thick and thin." The post further read, "YOU are the woman of my dreams and I am the luckiest man! None of this was possible without our most generous parents, our most adorable cupid @aadarjain who metaphorically introduced US once again and all our extended family, i.e. our friends who were a part of yesterday and more importantly an integral part of our most beautiful journey in the last 7 years. My Armaan was to be with my Anissa forever and you said YES, I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Love you."

Talking about Armaan's acting journey, in an interview with the DNA, the actor had talked about where he started off. He had shared, "I started out as an assistant director, however funny it may sound, is because I had a non-filmi childhood! I had never been to shoots, screenings or premieres. I had no idea how films were shot. I just knew I want to act and entertain people. When I was a 16-17-year-old, I wanted to be an actor. My father is an investment banker, so initially, I went to England to do a business course but after a year-and-a-half realised that I was wasting my time and his (father's) money. I would rather try and understand the craft (acting), which I wanted to pursue, so I came back."
Armaan had further talked about his parent's reaction, and had stated, "They were extremely supportive provided I am ambitious and work hard. My mother was a little taken aback because for 20 years there was no film talk at home. She was like, what do you want to do, are you sure, where do I send you? She actually cried. She was close to her father (Raj Kapoor) and had spent 32 years of her life with him. She told me I need to learn how films are made. There was no place so I went back to college. One day she called me and said 'I have good news. Karan (Johar) is willing to meet you for an interview.' I went to him - it was like joining a company for internship. I'm a practical learner and pick up faster that way. Ranbir, on the other hand, had done a two-year acting course in New York and then assisted (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) on Black."
Armaan had also opened up about his childhood, and had said, "It's a misconception that if it is a film family, we all talk about films or acting, and our masti revolves around it. We are normal people, our talk and clothes are normal but yes the food in Kapoor family is extraordinary! We love food, are a bit noisy and loud. Most of the family get-togethers happen in nani's house in Chembur or my house. When I was born, Karisma was already acting. We got together for my birthday parties and whenever everybody got time. Family get-togethers are fun because my uncles and my mother are screaming and fighting with each other, of course out of love. Ranbir and I talk about football and play FIFA at play stations. I have a different bond with everyone. But we never talk about our careers. There is a lot of noise pollution, food pollution and masti!"
