Arjun Kapoor Reveals How His Sister, Anushla Had Taken Care Of Him During His Battle With COVID-19

Only two months are left for 2020 to come to its end, and we haven't yet found a cure to the ongoing pandemic. The entire world is fighting with the global health crisis, but no one knows when all this will be over. Last year, in December, a new infectious respiratory disease had emerged in Wuhan, Hubei province, China and was named by the World Health Organization as COVID-19. In January 2020, it was declared as a pandemic and within a few months, it had travelled across the world. While we all have accepted the 'new normal', the COVID-19 positive cases are increasing every hour. (Recommend Read: Cost Of Urvashi Rautela's Leather Lehenga And Jewellery At Neha Kakkar's Wedding Will Blow Your Mind)

Many celebrities had also got infected by the Coronavirus, but they fought hard and became COVID-19 survivors. And Bollywood actor, Arjun Kapoor was also diagnosed with the same in September. Within a few hours of after Arjun had shared the official announcement of being COVID-19 positive, his girlfriend, Malaika Arora had also confirmed that she was diagnosed with Coronavirus. However, a month later the Ishaqzaade actor shared the good news of him being Coronavirus free.

Recently, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Arjun Kapoor shared his experience of contracting the Coronavirus. He revealed that it took him six to eight hours to accept the situation. He said, "I was confused, felt a varied degree of emotion. I was upset as I had to realign my life and I was looking forward to being on set. I had just shot for a few days and did the test to restart the second schedule so I felt disappointed that because of me the shoot will get cancelled. I then realised that I’ve to now be careful with my family, so there was a bit of concern, anger, irritation, but I also knew I’ve to deal with it practically. This one Sunday (September 6) just blew out of proportion for me. It took me six-eight hours to accept the situation before I could speak with the doctor. I calmed down when the doctor told me I was mostly asymptomatic. I felt mild symptoms coming in over the course so I guess it panned out alright." (Also  Read: Soha Ali Khan Shares An Unseen Monochrome Picture Of Her Mother, Sharmila Tagore From Her Wedding)

Arjun further shared how little sister, Anshula Kapoor took control of the entire situation and managed it all. He shared, "I was fortunate to have Anshula (Kapoor; sister) at home who literally organised my isolation in the sense I was living in my own room, cleaning my utensils and washroom, eating in disposable plates, and just resting. Also, I’m thankful to my doctors, with whom I was constantly in touch over video calls. On the 14th day, the doctor allowed me to go for a walk on the terrace. The immunity level was low so I had to take it slow. To anybody who’s reading or believes that there aren’t any long term side effects, I can assure you that the repercussions will be felt by your body because the fatigue and the lack of fitness, strength don’t go away overnight. You can’t just get out of bed and start running."

Anushla loves her big brother, Arjun, and she never leaves a chance to express her emotions. On the occasion of Arjun's birthday, Anushla had penned a heartwarming wish for him on her Instagram handle. She had posted a picture with him and had written, "Happy birthday @arjunkapoor. You are the reason I breathe, my most favorite human and the most important person in my life. The man whose love knows no bounds, who has always made me feel like the most cherished person on earth. Bhai, you are the reason I have the strength to wake up every morning. You have been my guardian, my protector, my parent, my friend, my brother, my confidant, my lifeline."

Anshula had concluded her note with a sweet message for her bhaiya, and it could be read as "You’re that light that manages to shine through all my darkness, to show me the way and to lead me out of the dark. You know my deepest fears, my darkest thoughts, all the dragons in my head and all the demons I fight with every day - and you love me despite all that. You make me feel loved every day. You make me feel cherished, beyond loved. You make me feel like I matter. YOU are my home. And Your love for me makes me believe I am worthy of love. For this and for infinite more reasons, You are my number one, the best person I know, my anchor, my North Star, my most favourite human, my heartbeat, and the best gift mom could have given me. I don’t ever want to live in a world that you’re not in. Love you to infinity. I’ve got your back, and you’ve got mine. Always and forever." (Don't Miss: Kareena Kapoor Khan Flaunts Her Baby Bump In A Pink A-Line Flowy 'Kurta', Looks Fresh And Royal)
