Let’s sadly leave aside all our fond memories of the 90s for a moment and take a moment to wish one of the most dapper actors, Arjun Kapoor, a very happy birthday! Yes, Arjun turns 34 today and the actor is currently holidaying at the New York City with his ladylove, Malaika Arora. It was only yesterday when we had shared with you that the duo has jetted off to the city for a mini vacation on account of Arjun’s birthday. Before you take a look at one of their airport pictures, do make a note that Arjun’s chachu, Sanjay Kapoor and his entire family too is currently holidaying in New York. What surely looks like it, Arjun and Malaika have gone in to join their extended family at the far-off land.
And today being Arjun Kapoor’s birthday, his humongous star Kapoor khaandaan has taken to Instagram and posted heartfelt wishes for their jigar ka tukda. To begin the birthday wishes, here’s what the birthday boy’s sister, Anshula Kapoor has written for her dear bhaiyya. Sharing an adorable picture of Arjun from his childhood days, the celeb sister wrote, “Happy birthday bhai @arjunkapoor I love you the mostest. You will always be the most important person in my life. You’ve got the biggest heart I’ve ever known & I’m so grateful that I have you, that I’ve always had you watching over me.”
Anshula Kapoor’s post concluded with, “Thank you for your unquestioning love & for always just being present for me, in every way that counts - as a brother, as a friend, as a parent, as a goofball, as my backbone, as my shoulder to lean on, as the hand on my head.. Then came Arjun Kapoor’s half-sibling, Janhvi Kapoor’s witty birthday wish for her dear bhaiyya. It read, “Happy Birthday Arjun bhaiya. Love you so much, always. For the love that you give, the man that you are and tbh also for the epic jokes that u crack. Even if sometimes it’s on me...”
Sonam K Ahuja took to Instagram and posted a 'then and now' picture of herself and Arjun, she wrote, "Happy Birthday Arjun! Whether we're flash dancing in the streets or chasing slopes, it's never a dull moment. You bring so much laughter and weirdness to my life, and all those around you that we really wouldn't have it any other way. I wish you the best birthday and all my love. @arjunkapoor #BrothersSister." Anand Ahuja too had commented on the same picture and posted a heartfelt wish for him. He wrote, "OMG. Amazing!! In an interview last year with the Hindustan Times, Arjun Kapoor had shared if he is a ‘birthday person’. He had stated, “I consider it a milestone from where you look back at things to reminisce what all have you done this year and also look forward to the coming year. You just hope that by your next birthday, you will be in a better position. It’s a nice reminder of feeling grateful, happy and proud that at 33, I have managed to achieve quite a bit. When I was 23, I didn’t dream that I will be in such a place 10 years down the line. That way, I have surpassed my own expectations as well as others and especially those who definitely didn’t expect me to survive in this industry.”
In the same interview, Arjun Kapoor had reminisced a fond memory of birthdays as a child. He had shared, “I used to love birthday parties. As a kid, I always had a fascination with fancy dress parties so I would turn into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, a WWE wrestler, Super-Man and Spiderman (laughs). I recall since my birthday comes in the monsoon, other parents would get paranoid to send their children over. So, we would have a film screening (of a movie that was going to release that weekend) at trial theatre and then a cake would be cut along followed by lunch. I would plan my birthdays with my mother way in advance. It used to be like an event, an award show. That has still not changed.
