It was in 2016 when the 'IT' couple of the glamour world, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan announced the news of their separation after 18 years of togetherness. Malaika had dropped 'Khan' from her surname, and the duo was granted divorce in 2017. After the divorce, Malaika was given custody of their son, Arhaan Khan.
Even after their separation, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan share a cordial relationship with each other. The duo has moved on in their lives as Malaika is dating actor, Arjun Kapoor while Arbaaz is in a steady relationship with actress, Giorgia Andriani. In a recent interview, Arbaaz shared his son, Arhaan’s future plans.

Arhaan Khan, who assisted director, Karan Johar on a movie is currently studying filmmaking in the US. In an interview with ETimes, Arbaaz Khan revealed that Arhaan is free to choose his profession and he, as a father will always be supportive of his decision. Talking about the same, Arbaaz stated:
“If Arhaan comes up to me with something, and at that time if I say 'No, why are you doing this? You should do that instead'. He'll listen but he’ll be scared for life. The point is, when you have that power, you should know how to use it. Because they are vulnerable at that point. If I say 'No, you will not be an actor'. I’ll squash his dreams. Hearing my knee-jerk disapproval might disgust him at some stage in his life. He might end up feeling his father didn’t let him explore his life.”
In the same interview, Arbaaz also stated that there is no pressure on Arhaan to choose a certain profession and carry on the supposed legacy of the family. In his words:
“If something drives him, if he's passionate about it, it could be anything - if he wants to be a chef - it will work out. Tomorrow if he comes and says, 'I’m really passionate about wanting to start a restaurant. I want to be a chef', I will never let him carry this supposed legacy, of being from the film industry, about his grandfather being from the film industry. There's no pressure. I just let him be.”

It was Arhaan, who had been extremely accepting and happy to see his parents, Malaika and Arbaaz living a comfortable and content life after their divorce. On Kareena Kapoor Khan's radio talk show, What Women Want, Malaika Arora talked about her divorce from Arbaaz and stated that it was not at all easy for her as she was very worried about her son, Arhaan’s reaction. She further revealed that Arhaan had been more than accommodating and far more accepting about the same as he could see how happy his parents were, post the divorce.
Well, we are eagerly waiting to see whether Arhaan will venture into films just like his star family.
