On December 11, 2020, Virushka (lovingly called by their fans) had completed three years of marital bliss. And to mark the special day, Virat and Anushka had penned adorable wishes for one another. Virat had taken to his IG handle and had shared a candid monochrome click from his wedding, wherein, the gorgeous bride, Anushka Sharma could be seen looking lovingly at her handsome groom and smiling. Along with the picture, Virat had written, "3 years and onto a lifetime together." The doting wifey, Anushka had shared a candid click with Virat, in which she could be seen hugging him from behind as the couple laughed. In a throwback interview with Filmfare, Anushka Sharma had revealed why she was arrogant to Virat Kohli on their first meeting. In her words, "If you’d ask me did Virat come to my house? Yes. Is he my friend? Yes. Do I know him? Yes. But there are other details people don’t know. We did an ad together. I put on an arrogant front because he’s believed to be arrogant too. Before he acted tough, I wanted to have an upper hand. But when I met him, he was so easygoing, intelligent and funny.”

The PK actress had also revealed how she ended up inviting Virat for dinner at her house. Sharing details of the same, Anushka had stated, “Considering it was a three-day shoot and on the second night I had called my friends over for dinner to celebrate my new house, I invited him too. That’s where it started. There were other people too but they didn’t make headlines.”

In his words, “The first time I met her I was very nervous and that’s why I cracked a joke because I didn’t know what to do. I thought I was being funny, and I said something which wasn’t probably the right thing to say. My joke became such a weird moment for myself. She was so confident, she is on sets regularly.”

In an Instagram LIVE session with Indian footballer, Sunil Chhetri, Virat had revealed that he had never proposed his wife, Anushka Sharma formally. He had said, “Mera yeh maana hai ki agar jab aap life khul ke jeete ho aur pyaar karte ho toh koi special day na toh Valentine's Day kuch hota hai. Every day can be Valentine's Day and special. And what Anushka said is completely true, we never felt like we needed to do that, we knew that we were going to marry each other, there were no doubts about it ever. So once we knew that everything is going smooth, we were super excited to start our life together. And organically things went on.”
