The wedding of the year 2017, and possibly the wedding of the decade, Virushka’s marriage, which happened on December 11, 2017, still rings fresh in the minds of their fans. Undoubtedly, Indian cricket skipper, Virat Kohli and Bollywood diva, Anushka Sharma, make the most stunning and lovable couple of the country.
Speaking of them, Anushka’s father, Col (retired) Ajay Kumar Sharma, made the couple’s day very beautiful. So, he once attended a book launch event in Bandra, Mumbai and bought a collection of love poems written by Tejaswini Divya Naik, for Virat and Anushka. Wow! Isn’t that the sweetest gesture a father can make for his newly-wedded daughter and for his damaad?
Just like the awe and happiness that their wedding news created, even their lovable moments and gestures for each other speak volumes of romance and genuine camaraderie between the two. For example, when Virat hit his 33rd ODI century while playing against South Africa, Anushka’s gesture of posting an Instagram story was loved by everyone.
In fact, Anushka’s upcoming film, Pari’s teaser has already impressed Virat a lot. He took to his Twitter handle and tweeted, “Here’s a REMINDER. This is not a fairytale. #PariTeaser @AnushkaSharma @OfficialCSFilms Love it. ”
Last month, post their wedding when Virat and Anushka were honeymooning in South Africa, Virat shared a lovely couple pic with his fans on his Twitter account, and captioned it, “Cape Town is such a beautiful place anyways, and even more beautiful with my one and only!”
It’s obvious that even Virat isn’t far behind in publicly displaying his affection towards his ladylove. In fact, during his Test series against South Africa, when he hit a century, he immediately took off his gloves, pulled out the wedding ring that he wears around his neck and kissed it gently, gesturing it towards Anushka who was sitting in the stands, cheering for him.
While Anushka has always been seen with Virat at various cricketing venues supporting him, we wonder when we would get to see Virat in any of the film fraternity’s parties, or shows. Well, guess what? That day isn’t far. Reportedly, Virat will accompany his wife, Anushka in the next season of Koffee with Karan. As per a report in the Deccan Chronicle, a source from DNA can be quoted as saying, “The only problem is that the filmmaker is busy with several things and the makers are yet to sit and decide with him when they would like to telecast it. But it is definitely happening this year.”
Even after almost two months, Virushka is still creating a buzz with their wedding. Just recently, when Virat was fielding near the boundaries in an ODI against South Africa, a fan displayed our Cheeku, his wedding banner which had “Shaadi Mubarak” written on it. Virat acknowledged the gesture and quickly went on to concentrate on the game.
On the professional front, Anushka has an upcoming film, Pari and then she will be next seen in the Sanjay Dutt biopic. As of Virat, he is currently in South Africa leading the team blue against the home team.
