However, on January 23, 2022, the broadcasters of the India Vs South Africa cricket match shared the visuals of Vamika. Now, Anushka has reacted on the same.
Vamika Sharma Kohli is in South Africa with her parents, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli for his tournaments. On January 23, 2022, the broadcasters of the India Vs South Africa match in Cape Town had panned the camera to the stands where Anushka and Vamika were cheering for Virat after he had hit a half-century, revealing the baby girl’s face. The pictures and videos had gone viral and Vamika’s cuteness had broken the internet. People had started comparing how she looks exactly like her father, Virat.

A few minutes back, Anushka Sharma shared a statement about the same on her IG stories. As Anushka and Virat have been asking everyone not to click their daughter, Vamika’s pictures and circulate them online, the mommy, this time again, talked about the same. Sharing that they were caught off guard as she had no clue that the camera was on them, and how she still wants people not to click Vamika, Anushka wrote:
“Hi guys! We realise that our daughters images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didnt know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika's images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank you!”
On December 16, 2021, Virat Kohli along with team India was spotted at the airport as they had flown down to South Africa. Virat was accompanied by his wife, Anushka Sharma and their daughter, Vamika Sharma Kohli. The paps had captured Virat and his family, and the cricketer was quick enough to request them not to click his daughter’s pictures. However, a few glimpses of Vamika had still gone viral over the internet, where she was seen clung onto her mommy. In the videos, Virat could be heard requesting the paps saying, “Baby Ka Mat Lena”, and the paps had obliged to him.

On December 29, 2021, the paps had spotted Anushka Sharma in the stands cheering for her husband, Virat Kohli, along with their daughter, Vamika Sharma Kohli. Vamika had looked beyond adorable in a white dress with two pigtails, while Anushka had worn a black dress. Vamika’s face was hidden with a heart emoji as the paps had obliged to the decision of Virat and Anushka to not reveal their daughter’s face.
As the paps were following Anushka and Virat’s request, the actress had thanked them for the same. On December 19, 2021, Anushka had taken to her Instagram stories and had thanked the paps and the media houses for maintaining their privacy and not publishing Vamika's pictures or videos. An excerpt from her gratitude note could be read as:
“We are deeply thankful to the Indian paparazzi and most of the media fraternity for not publishing pictures/videos of Vamika. As parents, our request to the few who carried the images/video will be to support us going forward.”
