August 22, 2021, marks one of the most special days for all the brothers and sisters as it is Raksha Bandhan. However, this festival is celebrated amongst sisters, who do not have any brothers, alike. And our Bollywood celebrities and their siblings are making sure to make the most out of this auspicious day despite being miles apart.
One such brother-sister duo is actress, Anushka Sharma and her brother, Karnesh Sharma. Though Anushka is accompanying her cricketer-husband, Virat Kohli to the United Kingdom for his test series, this brother-sister duo did not forget to share one of the sweetest Raksha Bandhan wishes for each other.

A few moments ago, Anushka Sharma's brother, Karnesh Sharma took to his Instagram handle and posted a series of pictures from their childhood as well as after growing up. In one of the pictures, in which Anushka can be seen in her school uniform, the actress looked almost unrecognisable. Sharing the pictures on his IG handle, the doting brother wrote, "Only @anushkasharma Happy rakshabandhan'', followed by a finger crossed and loved up emoticon.
Karnesh's sister and the popular Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma also took to her Instagram handle to drop two pictures. While one photo was from their childhood, the other one is from one of the rasams of her wedding. To cherish this unbreakable bond between the brother-sister duo, Anushka wrote, "The unbreakable bond ...@kans26", followed by a red heart emoticon.

On May 1, 2020, to wish his dearest sister, Anushka Sharma on her birthday, Karnesh had taken to his IG handle to share a photo collage with her. As she had turned a year older, the doting brother had penned a very sweet note for her. He had written, "Happy Happy Birthday.. Keep the kid in you alive always", followed by an array of red heart emoticons.
In an earlier interview with the Hindustan Times, Anushka Sharma had revealed that her brother, Karnesh Sharma is her best friend. Stating the same, she had told the publication, "When you have to speak to somebody from your workspace, you’ll be tactful. But with your sibling, you talk with no holds barred. So, sometimes, we end up fighting. But these are things we are both aware of. The good bit that comes out of working together is far more. Also, we are too close. If we didn’t have such a strong relationship, it would’ve been different. In our case, he is my best friend."
