Anup Soni is a talented actor, who has proven his acting par excellence in theatres, television and even on the big screen. He rose to fame with his much-appreciated performance in the serial, Balika Vadhu, which made him a household name in no time. In his personal life, he is married to veteran actor, Raj Babbar’s daughter, Juhi Soni Babbar, who also happens to be a theatre veteran just like him.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Anup Soni shared his excitement about grabbing an opportunity to work with his wife, Juhi, for the first time on-screen after 12 years of marriage. For the unversed, the duo who got married in 2011 had bonded with each other over their shared love for theatre. Sharing how all this while, they did not take up joint projects because of their child, Anup revealed:
“After 12 years of marriage, we are now ready to share screen and bring out some interesting content together. Till now, we were picking up projects in a way to ensure that at least one of us stays back home with our son. Now, that our little boy is over 10 years of age, we can devote more time to work and take projects together.”

It is often said that only a jeweller can bring out the actual value of a gem, such is the case of Anup Soni when he praised his wife, Juhi Soni Babbar, for the artist she is. The duo had spent quite some time together doing theatre in their early life, so they know each other as a valued artist much more than being husband and wife. Speaking on the same lines, Anup mentioned:
“Juhi is an exceptional artiste and whoever has seen her on stage will agree with me. Whenever I see her on stage as a contemporary, I really like the way she connects with live audience. Sometimes, much of the artiste’s talent is left unexplored and theatre helps to overcome that. I strongly feel that by collaborating on a project together, we will be able to bring each other’s best side.”
Going further in the interview, Anup Soni spoke at length about his prosperous career in television, which eventually led him to be well-recognised in the craft of acting. For the unversed, Anup has been a part of several iconic television projects, such as Balika Vadhu, Crime Patrol, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki among others. Reflecting more on it, Anup mentioned:
“I never shy away from accepting that television has been really kind to me. It made me a household name and gave me that right amount of recognition that all artistes crave for. Fortunately, I bagged some really good projects, and, on my part, I did justice to my craft. I accepted those roles wholeheartedly and made them mine.”

Juhi Soni Babbar once graced the popular reality show, The Kapil Sharma Show, along with her father, Raj Babbar and her brothers, Prateik and Arya Babbar. During one of their hilarious conversations, Juhi revealed how she made Anup meet her brothers Arya and Prateik way before anyone else during their years of courtship. After that, she mentioned how her brothers fought with their father, Raj Babbar, to accept their sister’s match with Anup Soni.
