On June 14, 2020, when the news channels had flashed the breaking news of actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, nobody could believe it and people thought it to be a hoax. The versatile actor, known for his performances in films like Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and many more, had reportedly committed suicide at his Mumbai residence.

The news of Sushant’s untimely death had sent shock waves through the entire Bollywood industry. Amongst his friends, family and fans, who had denied to believe the news of Sushant’s suicide, it was his ex-girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande, who also got the biggest shock of her life.
Ever since Sushant’s death, we have seen Ankita remembering him time and again by posting his throwback memories. A few moments back, Ankita took to her IG handle and shared an emotional video to mark Sushant’s first death anniversary. In the video, Ankita compiled some beautiful moments of her with Sushant and it was truly heart-wrenching. She captioned the video as “14 June This was our journey!!!! Phir milenge chalte chalte.”
Ankita also shared a memory of Sushant from their 2011 Diwali celebration. In the video, the two were seen dancing their hearts out. Along with the video, Ankita wrote, "Left with these memories only. You will always be loved and cherished. Diwali 2011" followed by a heart emoticon.
It was in 2009, when Sushant and Ankita had met each other for their show, Pavitra Rishta. During the course of the show, the duo had fallen in love. After dating for six years, Ankita and Sushant had announced their breakup, shocking all their fans.
Sushant’s death has left Ankita shattered and devastated. On July 14, 2020, one month had passed since Sushant’s death. To mark this day, Ankita Lokhande had remembered Sushant and had prayed for the 'Child Of God'. Sharing a picture of a diya, surrounded with flowers in the temple of her house, Ankita had written, "Child of God." That was the first time that Ankita had posted something after his death.

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ankita Lokhande had shared how she had dealt with Sushant’s death. Revealing why she had never posted Sushant’s picture on her social media, Ankita stated that she didn't have the guts to write RIP for him.
Talking about the same, Ankita had said, “You won’t believe till today I have not ever posted any pictures of Sushant with RIP. I have no guts to write something like that for him. Because I can’t say rest in peace Sushant. People questioned me why I didn’t put his picture on the very same day of his death. I don’t know these Twitter or Instagram people. Inn log ki ek alag hi duniya hai. What I faced…I don’t want people to go through that ever.”
