The quiet and demure, Archana of Pavitra Rishta aka Ankita Lokhande’s journey from television’s favourite bahu to living her big Bollywood dream with Manikarnika, is quite a remarkable one. For straight 5 years, the actress ruled the small screen and looks like she is back at winning hearts with her upcoming movie. However, Ankita has always been in the news, more or less for her sour relationship with ex-beau, Sushant Singh Rajput. The two fell in love while working for the TV show, Pavitra Rishta and the news of their break-up in the year, 2016, came as a shock to their fans. And, ever since, they have been constantly facing the media glare. However, in the latest interview with The Times of India, when Ankita was asked whether she will share the screen space with her ex-boyfriend again. The actress replied, “As an actor, I have no choice. If the script is good I will definitely work with him.”
For those who don’t know, the two wish well for each other and the recent incident was when Sushant commented on her debut look. The actor couldn't hold himself and commented on the first look of Manikarnika. The Kedarnath actor wrote, "@lokhandeankita it looks absolutely great Ankita. I’m extremely happy to see this. Well, Ankita seems to have moved on in life and is in a happy zone right now. Reportedly, she is all set to marry the co-owner of Mumbai team of Box Cricket League, Vicky Jain this year. A Bombay Times report last year (2018) had suggested, "After her breakup with Sushant, Ankita found her soulmate in Vicky. The couple is seen at many parties together and has also traveled to various holiday destinations. All of their friends know about the relationship. Ankita is also very close to Vicky's family and is often spotted with his sister. Ankita never denied nor accepted the rumour. In an interview with Bombay Times, Ankita had said, "If it happens, I will let you know and invite you for the wedding. I can’t say anything right now, but there are no plans, yet.” She added, “I am just focusing on work at the moment.”
Earlier, the actress opened about her marriage plans in an interview with DNA, and was quoted as saying, “There are no marriage plans right now. Like I said, I’m still waiting for my prince charming.” In fact, the actress also revealed that she is still waiting for her prince charming and said, “I’m still waiting for my prince charming (laughs). But I’m not consciously looking for a man. I’m done with that! I don’t need a man to reach somewhere in life. According to a report in Mid-Day, Vicky and Ankita met through common friends and soon fell in love. The source revealed, "They have known each other from the past few years. They met through common friends from the telly world. But recently, the two have got close. That they are more than just friends was evident from their body language at a Holi bash last month. Vicky and Ankita often hang out together with common friends."
Talking about their closeness, the source further added, "Vikas has also been spotted visiting Ankita at her Malad home. Considering that Ankita went through heartbreak just last year, she has been taking things slowly.” When Bollywood Life contacted Ankita to confirm her dating speculations, she had stated, “The story is already out. What do you want? I am not here to give any quotes or explanations to people. I have friends. Jisko bhi friends banati hoon, date karne lagti hoon. There is no point in saying anything.
