Television actress, Ankita Bhargava is going through the same emotional phase as she recently joined the bandwagon of newbie mommies. December 20, 2019, was the day when Karan and Ankita had welcomed a little angel in their lives and lovingly named her Mehr Karan Patel. On the same day, Karan and Ankita had taken to their respective Instagram handles and had shared the news with their fans in a unique way. Sharing the below picture, Karan and Ankita had written, “All your blessings made our world beautiful, a heartfelt thank you to all our well-wishers #RabbDiMehr.” Ever since the birth of their little angel, Karan has been sharing his experience of becoming a daddy, and now it’s the newbie mommy's turn. In an interview with SpotboyE, Ankita talks about embracing motherhood for the first time and their life after that.
Answering “how she and Karan celebrated New Year with their little angel?”, Ankita revealed, “I didn't even realise when I jumped from 2019 to 2020. Everything is so hazy nowadays. Days are passing so fast. So, I don't think I have realised yet that the New Year has begun. Because I think my new year began last month itself when she came into our lives.” Ankita further revealed their New Year Eve’s celebration and said, “We were at home as we can't leave Mehr alone. Also, my closest friends came home. We were chilling and brought the new year very peacefully with hushed sounds because Mehr was sleeping in the other room.”
Ankita Bhargava also revealed how they reacted when they were informed that it’s a baby girl. She stated, “Of course. I was in Operation Theatre and Karan was with me inside. The moment doctor informed us that it's a baby girl we were overjoyed as both of us wanted a girl and it happened.” Sharing that they always wanted a baby girl, Ankita said, “Everyone was presuming that it's a boy. They used to tell me you are looking like this, walking like this. Karan and I used to just look at each other and share a smile that let them say whatever they think but if God is listening to us, then it has to be a girl. Ankita also revealed that she and Karan have a soft corner for girls and that is the reason that they always wanted a baby girl to enter their lives. Answering the most awaited question about who chose the name ‘Mehr’, Ankita replied, “Me and Karan had already decided that if its a boy, he will name him and if it's a girl, I will name her. As hum dono kisi ek naam par pahuch hi nahi rahe the, because our choices are very different in terms of names.”
Revealing why she chose the name ‘Mehr’, Ankita stated, “Mehr is a blessing to me and Karan. Last year, I had gone to the Golden temple and I prayed to Babaji to give me a girl and he was kind enough to bless me with one. So, I thought to myself that yeh toh Babaji ki mehr hai and that's how the name was decided.” Revealing that their day starts with Mehr and ends with Mehr, Ankita how life has changed post the arrival of their baby girl. She said, “Hamara din Mehr se shuru hota hai and Mehr pe hi khatam hota hai. There is nothing else and nobody else on my mind. I try to accommodate Naughty in her schedule now because he is our first child and I have to balance both of them. I have to be with her all the time as she needs me the most.”
It was on December 25, 2019, when Karan and Ankita had shared the first family picture with the fans and followers. Cuddled in her daddy’s arms, Mehr had looked adorable dressed in red and white as she had twinned with her mommy, who wore a dress in the same colour combination.
