In January, the first-ever picture of Ankita Bhargava and Karan Patel’s daughter, Mehr Karan Patel had gone viral on social media and fans couldn’t help but swoon over their little baby girl. In the picture, Karan could be seen holding his little girl in his arms while Ankita was sitting beside them. In an interview with SpotboyE, Ankita had talked about how Karan is handling fatherhood and was quoted as saying, "I was in Operation Theatre and Karan was with me inside. The moment doctor informed us that it's a baby girl we were overjoyed as both of us wanted a girl and it happened. Our day starts with Mehr and ends with her. There is nothing else and nobody else on my mind. I try to accommodate Naughty in her schedule now because he is our first child and I have to balance both of them. I have to be with her all the time as she needs me the most."
To confirm the news of his baby girl’s arrival, Karan Patel had given a statement to the media, which had stated, "Am numb overjoyed and a little intimidated the only soul who has given me such emotions all at one go, Ankita is doing well and our families would like to thank each and everyone who has loved us and continue to bless us." Ankita Bhargava's father, Abhay Bhargava had also remarked, “We are elated with the arrival of our granddaughter. Both the families — the Patels and the Bhargavas —- wanted a girl and God has blessed us with one. This is the best New Year’s gift we could have ever asked for.”
