Two years ago, on this day, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik had stepped into the next phase of their happily married life i.e., parenthood when the stork had visited them with their little bundle of joy. Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik have named their little bundle of joy, Izhaan Mirza Malik and to announce the same, the latter had tweeted in 2018, “Thank you from the bottom of our heart to everyone for the wishes from Sania and I, and our families. Our son’s name is Izhaan #BabyMirzaMalik.” But do you know why Sania and Shoaib had decided to add ‘Mirza Malik’ as Izhaan’s surname? A few months before delivering her firstborn, Sania had attended the UN Women India's launch of #MujheHaqHai campaign event, wherein she had revealed that their child won’t just take his/her father’s family name (i.e. Malik) forward but will have ‘Mirza Malik’ as the surname. As Izhaan Mirza Malik turned 2 on October 30, 2020, his khaala and Sania Mirza’s sister, Anam Mirza, his khaalu, Mohammad Asaduddin and his grandfather, Imran Mirza wished the little one on social media. Anam was the first one to wish Izhaan on his birthday as she posted a video with the little one which comprised of their beautiful moments together. The video has Surf Mesa - ILY (I love you baby) (feat. Emilee) playing in the background and she captioned the post as “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY WHOLE HEART! @izhaan.mirzamalik.” Asad shared an adorable picture with Izhaan, wrapped up in his cute towel and the doting khaalu wrote, “Happy birthday baby izzy. Love you to the moon and back.” Sania’s father, Imran Mirza posted a super-cute picture of his grandson and wrote, “My Izhaan turns 2 mashallah! Happy birthday and may Allah's blessings be on him always! #izhaanmirzamalik #birthday.” Anam also posted a video from the hospital on her IG stories with pregnant Sania in the frame, and wrote, “Multiple false alarms later. The day came, 30th October 2018. @mirzasaniar @izhaan.mirzamalik” atop it.
In 2019, to celebrate Izhaan Mirza Malik’s first birthday, his star parents, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik had hosted a birthday bash in Dubai. The birthday boy had looked like a bundle of cuteness, dressed in a zebra-printed t-shirt and brown-coloured dungarees to go with it. To make Izhaan’s birthday extra-special, everyone had flooded social media with wonderful and heartfelt wishes for the little one. His doting baba, Shoaib had posted a picture from the birthday bash, holding Izhaan in his arms, and had written, “Salgira Mubarak to my little man. I LOVE YOU and I promise to be by your side until my last breath... Happy Birthday my little angel.
