Sometimes life has unplanned sequences kept in place for you. All your future plannings, ‘permanent impressions’ go in for a toss when life pans out in a completely different direction than what it was supposed to be. Something similar happened with one of the most beautiful Liverpool-born, Bollywood actresses, Amy Jackson. “India was never on my radar”- was what the lady had shared during her initial interviews during her debut movie, Ekk Deewana Tha. Amy fell in love with the co-star of her first Bollywood film, Prateik Babbar. The couple was in a well-off relationship and even had tattoos of each other’s name in their respective hands. But soon after, it all went kaput. Ever since Prateik and Amy’s breakup, the latter was deemed of having multiple flings (not all at once, of course!) but looks like Amy has finally found her one true love!
Amy took to Instagram and posted a couple of pictures from her Christmas celebrations at her ‘new’ home in London. Looks like Amy and her multi-millionaire boyfriend, George Panayiotou, had a blast during the celebrations. At least, their pictures depict so! A picture that Amy posted had the duo indulge in PDA and sharing a cute liplock with each other. The series of pictures and the caption that she had posted could be read as, “Merry mass First Christmas in our new home with family and friends like family. Thankyou @penny_toumbas @88ga @hga003 #DREAMTEAM.” Here are the pictures:
It was in last year’s Christmas (2017), that had brought the couple together. Speaking about the same, a source had then shared with Mumbai Mirror, “After bringing in Christmas and New Year’s with family in the UK last year, Amy and George took off to Mexico with a group of close friends. They stayed at a cozy cottage in Tulum — an exotic and quaint beach town in the Carribbean islands. Two weeks later, the couple also brought in Amy’s birthday together. The love birds kicked off Valentine’s Day celebrations a week earlier with a quick trip to Canada’s snow-capped Whistler Blackcomb, a popular skiing and adventure sports destination. They stayed at a resort for three days.”
The actress had kept her private life to herself for a long time and was also thinking of getting hitched this year (2018), but looks like 2019 will have new innings for the couple! Speaking about the same, a source had shared with DNA, “Amy has been in a steady relationship for the longest time now. She just didn’t want to open up about her personal life to the public. She kept her affair hidden from the prying eyes of the media for a long time. Amy and George are a happy couple. She always wanted to have a family of her own. She’s planning to get married sometime later this year. In a throwback interview with Filmfare in 2016, Amy opened up about love, heartbreak and failed relationships. Speaking about her multiple flings, the gorgeousness was quoted as saying, “That’s because I’ve been away from home. When you’re on your own in a hotel room, you want someone to talk to. Your friends have their own lives, so they’re not always available. Relationships were like a comfort blanket. Initially, I was vulnerable. Knowing you’ve got somebody to call, visit you and be your support is comforting. But that has changed now.”
She also added, “In the last six months, I’ve discovered myself. I realise I don’t need all that. A relationship is more of a drawback and you can’t concentrate on your work. It’s a distraction. It actually makes things worse. It’s nice to actually be free. Not that I wasn’t independent in a relationship. But now I don’t have to worry about anything. I can just do what I want to do. I know I’m being selfish but this is the time when I need to think about myself. My relationships in the past were good. They served their purpose. But at this moment, it doesn’t have any purpose. It’s refreshing in a way.”
A few years back, the Singh Is Bling star had an ugly spat with her then boyfriend, Joe Selkirk, who apparently had also assaulted her. Divulging details about how she overcame the agony, Amy had revealed, “It transformed me as a person. It made me not want to rely on anybody. It turned me into a strong and independent woman, who could take care of myself and my mother and people who relied on me. If love comes it’s nice but I want none of this crappy attachment. After experiences like that, I didn’t want it anymore.”
However, these incidents did not make her falsify her belief in the concept of love. Amy had stated, “I still believe in love. I can’t wait to fall in love some day. I like the feeling of being in love. I’m a hopeless romantic. But there comes a point where you realise what you deserve and what you want. Love isn’t always happy and lovely, it can be painful sometimes.
