On May 6, 2020, Shweta Bachchan Nanda's daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda graduated from New York's Fordham University. However, due to the global pandemic, there was no graduation ceremony organised for her batch. On May 16, 2020, an online convocation ceremony was organised and the entire Bachchan and Nanda families tuned in from different parts of the world to celebrate the achievements of 22-year-old, Navya.

The proud grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog and penned his thoughts on the same. Time has flown by .. this one perhaps more speedily than any other."

For those who don't know, Navya's mom, Shweta had created a DIY graduation gown, which she had hand-stitched for her 'not-so-little girl'. She had also made a graduation cap from a black chart paper and had shared pictures from the special graduation ceremony on her Instagram handle. Alongside it, she had written, "Class of 2020 - Navya finished college today and since she and everyone else graduating this year won’t get a ceremony we decided to DIY one. With a chart paper cap and a gown hand stitched from scraps of black tenting. I threw on a Fordham (her college) sweatshirt over my PJ’s!! Congratulations baby I love you and am proud of you! Go forth and conquer x (I’m not crying you’re crying)." (Don't Miss: Arjun Rampal Shares Videos Of Girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades Helping Him In Shaving His Beard)
