Recently, when Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda Bachchan had appeared on Karan Johar’s show, Koffee with Karan, they had spilled beans on a lot of things. On Karan Johar's chat show, Abhishek revealed that it was "very difficult" for him when Amitabh reviewed his performances, "It's very difficult. I have never said this, but it is. Because apart from being a co-star, a son, I'm also his biggest fan. And I genuinely say that. From the bottom of my heart, I believe that he is the greatest actor on earth.”
He further added that while he craves for the praise, he doesn’t know how to handle it. Abhishek had shared, "You want that validation. You want to hear 'well done'. The problem is, when he does say it on the rare occasion that I have managed to impress him, I don't know how to handle it. It is difficult. Today, being a father myself, I start understanding why maybe earlier in my career, he has discussed certain things with me. Or he has critiqued my work in a particular way. Amitabh Bachchan is one of the almost active social media users from the B-town. Recently, he took to his official account and shared a lovely picture with son, Abhishek. In the picture, we can see the lovely father-son duo sitting on a stack of chairs. He worded the picture as, “When he not just wears your shoes, but also shares the same number of chairs to sit on, then he is not just a Son, but your dearest friend !!” To which Abhishek replied, "BFF," followed by a heart, a wink and a kiss emoji. Recently in a media interaction Amitabh had shared how he spoils his grandchildren, Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan. Big B was quoted as saying, I’ve loved all of them. When I want to spoil my grandkids, I am so authoritative that their parents dare not oppose me. Aaradhya will still come and destroy my working desk, as she wants to use this pen and wants to write things and wants to play with the laptop. Speaking about the downfall in his career graph, Abhishek shared on the Koffee with Karan, “It’s tricky; it’s not the pressure of what was happening...it was more about how I was approaching my work which I thought was incorrect. I was becoming very complacent and unconformable. I was part of huge films, huge budgets, huge stars, huge collections, everything was hunky-dory, I had no pressure as I was standing by the side or behind somebody else who was shouldering all the pressure, and I was making lots of money, those films were making lots of money, it became very easy. With all respect to my all co-stars, I didn’t come to the industry to the stand behind anyone.”
He had further shared, “It very weird...I say this with all the respect to my co-stars, I genuinely enjoyed those films but it is heartbreaking for any actor who has been once centre staged to be on the side..It is difficult to digest. That hurt, that humiliation is important. The industry is the brutal place. No one is entitled to say that I am who I am and I deserve this. Everyone has to earn it. You have to earn your place in the industry.
