The date, April 14, 2022, will always be etched in everyone’s hearts as the day had marked the union of the most stunning couple of B-town, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. From complementing each other perfectly to laughing their hearts out during various rasams, Ranbir and Alia's union was certainly the biggest wedding of the season.
Alia is a doting bahu and shares a warm bond with the Kapoor clan. To mark Mother’s Day 2022, Alia had taken to her Instagram handle and had written a heartfelt wish for the two mothers of her life. The actress had shared a picture from her reception party, wherein, she could be seen posing with Soni and Neetu. Alongside it, she had penned:
"My beautiful beautiful mothers. Happy Mothers Day - ALL DAY EVERYDAY!"

Alia, who is currently busy shooting for Heart of Stone with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in London, took some time off for a mini get-together with Ranbir Kapoor’s family. Ranbir’s cousins, Armaan Jain and Nitasha Nanda shared a picture of the family gathering, which featured, Alia Bhatt, Shweta Bachchan, Alia’s sister and author Shaheen Bhatt, Anissa Malhotra Jain, Armaan Jain, Nitasha and Rima Jain. The family was dressed in black as they sat around the dining table.
After the wedding, an unseen video of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's varmala ceremony was shared by one of their fan pages. In the video, Ranbir was seen introducing Alia Bhatt to his family, and he had said, "Say hi to my wife". As he had introduced her, his family could be heard cheering for the two, making Alia blush.

In an interview with Film Companion, Neetu Kapoor had opened up about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's intimate wedding. Talking about the same, Neetu had shared that the family had been planning the wedding for two years and Ranbir and Alia had wanted to have a destination wedding in South Africa. However, the duo had ended up having a beautiful ceremony at their home. Talking about the best part of the wedding, Neetu had retorted:
"Everything was beautiful. The best part was that the baarat-- it went from the fifth floor to the seventh floor. We were performing bhangra on the passage, we were just going crazy. I wanted to have a ghodi (horse at baarat) and all that, but then also they felt that if the ghodi will come then the paps will come. So I said forget that. Ranbir and Alia had planned so much that 'we'll go to South Africa, we'll do a recee,' and eventually, where did they do it? At their home. Since two years we were planning we'll go here, and we were seeing pictures. We were going absolutely nuts. But this was the best, and she looked so beautiful."
