Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt is a powerhouse of talent who needs no introduction. Apart from being an amazing actress, Alia is a doting wife to her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and a loving mother to their daughter, Raha Kapoor. For the unversed, the couple welcomed their baby girl, Raha Kapoor, on November 6, 2022. Since then, she has been busy with fulfilling her mommy duties with her little wonder of joy.
In an interview with Elle magazine, Alia Bhatt opened up about her motherhood journey and talked about her daughter, Raha Kapoor. Mentioning that Raha is pretty small right now, the doting mommy said that she loves reading books to her baby girl. The proud mother also revealed that her baby listens very attentively and said:
“She’s pretty small right now, but I love reading her books as she listens attentively.”

Further in the interview, when Alia Bhatt was asked if she was planning to pen down a storybook under her brand, Ed-A-Mamma, the new mommy gave an affirmative response. Talking about the same, she shared that she plans to release a series of nine books based on emotions with the help of her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. Sharing the importance of reading stories to babies early on, Alia said:
“I plan on launching storybooks soon. I do have a couple of ideas, but I’m not very good with language—so I may or may not write them, but my sister will undoubtedly be a part of this. The idea is to release a series of nine books—each will take up a particular subject or emotion like hope, joy and kindness. I realise the importance now of reading to your child early on; it helps them grasp a language and the emotions behind it. You’ll be surprised how much they can pick up.”
Alia Bhatt also revealed that she is often busy building a colour-coordinated wardrobe for her daughter, Raha, just like most new mommies. She further talked about how her brand, Ed-A-Mamma has now become strictly personal for her after she gave birth to Raha and added that she has started to look at everything with a microscopic lens. Talking about how she loves to get new clothes for her baby, Alia said:
“It will probably benefit the most from this phase of my life. Now, all of my involvement is very intimate, and you can’t put a price on this experience. There was a moment when the first package from the infant collection came in, and I was excited like a kid in a candy store. Even though it was for my daughter, I was as thrilled as if somebody was gifting me the products. Things like new clothes for my baby bring me so much joy.”
Lastly, Alia Bhatt gave away a beautiful message for her daughter, Raha Kapoor, to discover twenty-five years later. The doting mother advised her baby girl to love herself first and live her life as her true self. However, she added that she wishes that her daughter would want to spend as much time with her in the future as she does now. Alia concluded:
“I hope wherever you are in life right now, you’re happy and living your life as your true self. Most importantly, before loving anyone else, you must first love yourself. Lastly, I hope you still want to spend as much time with me now as you did back then.”
