Alia Bhatt shares a very warm bond with her elder sister, Shaheen Bhatt and has always called Shaheen, her emotional anchor. Their bond is very much visible on their Instagram handles and the two have marvelled in their respective fields. If Alia is a superb actress, then Shaheen is a master of words. Their personalities are totally different, Alia who shares a huge fanbase is quite active on social media and on the other hand, Shaheen is an aesthetic believer and stays away from the limelight. They might be totally different in their personalities, but their bond has given major sister goals to the millenials.
A few minutes ago, Ali Bhatt took to her IG handle and started a ‘post a picture’ sessions. When one of her fans asked her to post a picture of her favourite person, without thinking for a second, Alia posted a picture of her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. Atop the picture, Alia wrote, “My Sweetie @ShaheenB.” While her fans thought that she would post a picture of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia proved that it is always ‘sister before mister’.
On November 28, 2020, Shaheen had turned a year older and Alia had penned an adorable wish for her. Posting beautiful pictures with her, Alia wrote, “Since we were little, you were always my angel. You literally gave me wings dancing around with ME on beds and things. I love that we've got our own language, one that's full of fruits and veggies. Ahh.. life without you is just so basic. Also who would look after my arms and leggies? I know we're technically sisters, but I believe you're my soul mate too. You make every living moment better. I truly don't know what id do without you!! You're my everything sweetie. My sunshine & when the weather is bad my umbrella too. Happy birthday to ME. As today is the day I to celebrate you. Not many know that Shaheen Bhatt had her struggle with depression and in 2016, she had talked for the first time about her fight with depression in a social media post. She had also launched an initiative called 'Here Comes The Sun' to help people come out of depression. On World Mental Health Day (October 10, 2019), Alia had written an emotional message for her sister, Shaheen. Alia was Shaheen’s constant support throughout her difficult phase and had stood like a pillar of strength for her sister.
Alia had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture of Shaheen. Along with the picture, she had written, "I am so so proud of you @shaheenb And of @herecomesthesunofficial. You have taken something so personal and made it a symbol of strength and empathy. No one needs to be alone as they struggle with mental health, battling their own fears and anxiety. Sometimes all you need to know that you're not alone!!!
