When Bollywood actors, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt signed their first film, Brahmastra, who knew they would have fallen for each other on the sets of the same film! For those who don't know, Alia had a huge crush on Ranbir, even before she became a part of the tinsel town. In fact, she had expressed her desire to marry him on Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan, in 2013. And years later, on the sets of Brahmastra, the universe played its part and they felt the sparks.
On March 27, 2019, the filmmaker, Ayan shared an unseen picture from the sets of the film in Israel on his official Instagram handle. In the picture, Ranbir can be seen watching Alia through a window while Alia is busy in her thoughts. Along with the picture, Ayan wrote, “Beginnings. Tel Aviv, Israel... Beginning of 2018, and the beginning of many things... We were in Tel Aviv to prepare for our first shooting schedule with a very special member of our team, and it marked the beginning of Ranbir and Alia working together for the movie and getting to know each other... BrahmÄÂstra has come with a lot of travel, to find creative collaborations everywhere in the world... something I hope will add greatly to the film eventually #brahmastra.” Check it out below:
On March 4, 2019, Alia and Ranbir had unveiled the logo of their film in one of the most unique ways at the Kumbh Mela. It was a grand affair with hundred and fifty drones that formed the word Brahmastra in the night sky, as Alia and Ranbir watched. In an interview with Mid-Day, Ranbir had revealed the details of the film that is extremely close to his heart. He had said, “It is actually a supernatural romantic fairy tale at heart. Ayan will never make a character that doesn’t have truth to it, or which is unbelievable. It’s too early to talk about the film, but it is something I am terribly excited about.” He also confirmed that the film is a trilogy, and stated, “Apart from being my best friend and my favourite director, Ayan has worked on this film for six years. He is going to spend the next 10 years of his life on this trilogy. So when the first part is complete, the audience will know it’s not the end. While we might have to wait a little while for the film to release, rumours have been rife that Alia and Ranbir might tie the knot soon. However, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Alia had cleared the air, and had stated, “Not at all! I feel it’s all unnecessary chatter. You have to understand that personal life is called ‘personal’ for a reason. In fact, that’s why, not many speak up about their relationships.
