Of late, the Laughter King of India, Kapil Sharma has been the talk of the town. Kapil has been regularly making headlines these days because of a series of controversies that he has got himself into.
Recently, one of the most-loved characters from The Kapil Sharma Show, dadi/nani aka Ali Asgar allegedly visited Kapil Sharma upon hearing about his ill-heath and also, after Kapil’s ex-girlfriend Preeti Simoes urged him to go and meet him. Ali shared several insights after meeting him and also stated that Kapil has Preeti’s name written on his hand.
In an interview with ABP, Ali shared, “I heard Kapil is suffering from depression, I felt very bad. We all are with Kapil and will always be there for him. Preeti also called me that Kapil is not well and has apparently not even left his room for days. When I reached his office, Kapil was lying down. He was close to tears when he saw me and could not even speak. It is clear that he is missing all of us, especially Preeti. He is like a child who wants something but is not able to articulate it”. Rumours also had it that Kapil’s family is stopping him from pairing up with the same team in his new show. When Ali was asked about the same, he said, “If this is true, I feel really sad for him because Kapil is not going to benefit from this. He will be at the losing end after all work is more important. Today, we all are here because of our work. We have shared such a great relationship with each other and I would not want to ruin it. I will always think well of him.”
A few days back, in an interview with HT, Preeti Simoes shared, “My biggest concern is his mental health, which has deteriorated drastically in the past few months. I’ve spoken to him many times, he has messaged me and visited me and I’ve realised that he’s not the same man that he was a year ago. It’s not just depression. It could be bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. He’s getting suicidal thoughts. I’ve seen a very different him. His face has changed, his eyes have changed. He switches topics when he is talking. He repeats the same things 10 times when he speaks to me. Whoever has doing this to him, I really want to say, ‘give up, move out, and take him to a rehab and give the poor man a chance to live’”. However, Kapil’s team has rubbished all such rumours about Ali visiting him. They said that Kapil is not in the country so there is no chance of Ali meeting him. This is what Kapil’s official spokesperson shared, “As a part of Mr Kapil Sharma’s team, we would like to emphasise that recent stories doing the rounds that Mr Sharma has met Mr Ali Asgar and has written Ms Preeti Simoes name on his hand, are completely false. We are equally shocked to hear about this ourselves and are surprised that Mr Asgar, whom Mr Sharma has always considered a friend, would make such hurtful statements. In fact, Mr Sharma and his fiancée, Ginni are currently travelling together”.
