The Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is in a happy space in his professional as well as personal life. Akshay is married to actress-turned-author, Twinkle Khanna, who is famous for her wittiness. Akshay is not only the khiladi of the B-town but is also the khiladi at his home for he knows how to make everyone happy and feel special. All throughout his professional career, Akshay has been impressing us all with his commendable acting skills and has become everyone’s favourite over the years.

In a recent chat with the Hindustan Times, Akshay opened up about his acting journey and how his wife, Twinkle has been a big help for him in shaping his career. The Rustom actor was quoted as saying, "My wife has been a very big help in my career. It's not that I have to discuss every single script with her before I give it my nod, but she talks to me and I remember (those) things. She told me once, 'Koe zor zabardasti nahi hai, jo aacha lage karo.'"
In fact, earlier also in a heart-to-heart conversation with Filmfare, the Housefull actor had revealed how his wife has always been a constant source of inspiration and support system for him. Akshay was quoted as saying, “Twinkle has not only added to my wardrobe but also to my bank balance. I was a scattered person; she is the one who has put me together. After marriage, she has kind of raised me (Laughs). Twinkle and Akshay love to reveal interesting scoops about their life every now and then. The same thing happened in 2016, when the duo had appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan season 5. During the course of the interaction, Twinkle had shared that she did a complete health checkup on Akshay and his family before tying the knot. Well, yeah!
Stating the reason behind the same, Twinkle had retorted, “The reason you get married is primarily to have children. So, you are introducing this genetic strain into your family line. I wanted to know what the diseases are running in his family. At what age did his uncles lose their hair. Apart from this, in an interview with the Mid-Day sometime back, Twinkle had talked about their strong friendship and the key to their successful married life, she had said, “I'd say our social, political ideologies, sense of humour, are very different. What's interesting is that after the first few years, we gave up trying to change each other. What we did instead was start to learn from each other. Luckily all his strengths are my weaknesses, and vice versa.”
Twinkle had further added, “What would I learn if we were more like each other anyway? I really believe two peas in a pod died of inertia. And we are not like that. So we continue to grow. Marriages essentially fail, when you try to clone the other person to become like you, it's not possible. We're two different brains. Mine is a washing machine, whirling, chaotic. His thoughts are neatly folded in the closet of his mind. I need his stability to hem me in. He needs me to push him out of his comfort zone."
