It has been more than a year and a half since the biggest wedding of the decade had taken place in 2019 and we are still not over the #AkuStoleTheShlo union. Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta had become Mr and Mrs Ambani and had embarked their ‘happily ever after’ journey as soulmates on March 9, 2019. Months have passed by since Akash and Shloka had embarked their journey together as husband and wife but even today, social media is filled with unseen glimpses of their wedding and we cannot stop swooning over how amazingly gorgeous they have looked.
The congratulations are in order for the Ambani family as Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta have embraced parenthood on December 10, 2020. An official statement from the spokesperson of the Ambani family can be read as “With the grace and blessings of Lord Krishna, Shloka and Akash Ambani became proud parents of a baby boy today in Mumbai. Nita and Mukesh Ambani are delighted to become grandparents for the first time, as they welcomed the great grandson of Dhirubhai and Kokilaben Ambani. Both mother and son are doing well. The new arrival has brought immense joy to the entire Mehta and Ambani families.”
Shloka Mehta was last seen in a video from her alleged soon-to-be devrani, Radhika Merchant’s birthday bash. The Ambani clan had come together to celebrate her special day. Kokilaben Ambani, Nita Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, Akash Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Isha Ambani Piramal and Anant Ambani were by Radhika’s side as she had cut her carousal-themed birthday cake. In a video that had gone viral on social media from her birthday celebrations, Radhika can be seen feeding cake to the Ambani clan and taking blessings of her soon-to-be in-laws, Mukesh and Nita. Little did we know that soon there will be even bigger celebrations in the family as Shloka will bring a new addition in the clan.
For the uninitiated, let us throw some light on the personal life of the badi Ambani bahu. Shloka Mehta is the daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta and Mona Mehta. Youngest of the three sisters, Shloka was Akash’s classmate at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Akash had proposed his ‘crush’, Shloka on the last day of school, to which she had obviously said ‘yes’. When Akash and Shloka had told their families about it, they were advised to keep their relationship a secret to avoid unwanted media attention. Post getting engaged, Shloka Mehta had talked about the bond that she shares with Akash Ambani and keeping pace with her relationship despite their hectic schedules. Shloka was then quoted as saying, “Despite years and busy schedules, we have always found ways to stay connected. Akash is incredibly grounded, and we share a bond based on meaning and memories. We don't just get along - we also support each other's hopes and aspirations and are determined to build a sense of purpose into our lives together.
