2020 has proved to be a wonderful year for a lot of couples as some were given the ‘good news’ of soon becoming parents while some embraced parenthood with the arrival of a little bundle of joy in their lives. When a celeb couple embraces parenthood, their fans wait with bated breath for a glimpse of the baby and want to know what the newbie parents have named their little one. It was a pleasant surprise when Ambani and Mehta families had announced the arrival of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s first child on December 10, 2020. It was on March 9, 2019, when Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta had become Mr and Mrs Ambani and had embarked their ‘happily ever after’ journey as soulmates. More than a year-and-a-half after becoming husband and wife, Akash and Shloka had stepped into the next phase of their lives i.e., parenthood. A few days before the families had announced the arrival of junior Ambani, Shloka was seen in a viral video from her alleged soon-to-be devrani, Radhika Merchant’s birthday bash. Little did we know then that soon there will be even bigger celebrations in the family as Shloka will bring a new adorable addition in the clan.
Now, the Ambani and Mehta families have released another statement, revealing the name of junior Ambani. Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta have named their son, Prithvi Akash Ambani. The statement can be read as “With the grace of Lord Krishna and the blessings of Dhirubhai Ambani, Kokilaben Ambani is delighted to announce the birth of our precious baby boy! Prithvi Akash Ambani. Delighted Parents Shloka and Akash. Overjoyed Grandparents Nita Dadi & Mukesh Dada, Mona Nani & Russell Nana. Over the Moon Great-Grandparents, Purnimaben & Ravindrabhai Dalal, Rajnikaben & Arunbhai Mehta, Meenaben & Bharatbhai Mehta. Sharing the Joy Isha-Anand, Anant, Nisha-Viraj, Diya-Ayush, Alaia, Amaira & Maaia. Lots of Love Ambani & Mehta families.”
To announce the arrival of junior Ambani, an official statement from the spokesperson of the Ambani family could be read as “With the grace and blessings of Lord Krishna, Shloka and Akash Ambani became proud parents of a baby boy today in Mumbai. Nita and Mukesh Ambani are delighted to become grandparents for the first time, as they welcomed the great grandson of Dhirubhai and Kokilaben Ambani. Both mother and son are doing well. The new arrival has brought immense joy to the entire Mehta and Ambani families.” A picture of Prithvi Akash Ambani and his proud grandfather, Mukesh Ambani had gone viral back then. For Shloka Mehta’s first birthday as Mrs Ambani, the Ambani family had made a special video, which comprised of the messages and memories everyone shared with the badi bahu of the clan. It had featured heartwarming birthday wishes from all the members of the family, including Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani Piramal and Anand Piramal, Nita Ambani's mother, Purnima Dalal and Mrs Ambani’s sister, Mamta Dalal, Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani too. In the video, everyone had expressed their wishes to see Shloka as a mother soon and 2020 had finally fulfilled their wishes.
2018 and 2019 had proved to be the best years for the Ambani clan as they officially welcomed two new members in their family. It was on December 12, 2018, when Isha Ambani had added ‘Piramal’ to her name as she had exchanged wedding vows with the love of her life, Anand Piramal. 3 months later, her twin, Akash Ambani and his childhood sweetheart, Shloka Mehta were pronounced husband and wife in a grand wedding ceremony on March 9, 2019. And the year 2020 had blessed the Ambani family with an adorable new addition in the form of Akash and Shloka’s son.
