While some people questioned the show's authenticity, many called it scripted as Akanksha entered the show through a wild card entry and eventually won it. After tying the knot on the show, Mika Singh and his vohti, Akanksha Puri led all the headlines.
However, even after the end of the show, it wasn't clear whether Mika Singh was married to Akanksha Puri or not. In a recent interview, Akanksha Puri opened up about her current relationship status with popular singer Mika Singh and shared why they'll never think of getting married in the future.

In an interview with ETimes, Akanksha Puri shared the truth behind her relationship status with the popular singer and her close friend, Mika Singh. The glamourous actress revealed whether she and Mika are married, dating, or at the beginning of their love story. However, refuting all the reports and future possibilities of coming into a relationship with the Punjabi singer, Akanksha revealed the truth behind their dating reports. The actress clearly mentioned that both she and Mika had already mentioned in the show, Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti that they have been close friends for years, and they will continue it. She said:
"We mentioned on the show that we were friends for many years. We continue to be that. We are just friends and not a couple. Mika and I are both used to people talking about us, it doesn't bother us."
Going further in the interview, Akanksha Puri was asked about her marriage with Mika Singh on the reality show, Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti. The actress admitted that it was all part of the reality show, and the one big reason they were comfortable framing each other was their decade-long friendship. The actress admitted that the qualities they're looking for in their respective partners are quite the same, but even then, they don't want to date each other and want to continue their friendship. She explained:
"Yes, the swayamvar was about choosing a partner, so we decided on each other as we have known each other for almost a decade. We have never said that we are in love or displayed any romance. We were clear that we were looking for a life partner and preferably someone who has been a friend. But post the show, nothing has changed between us and we continue to be the same old friends that we were."

Although everyone saw Akanksha Puri penning some romantic notes in the captions of her pictures with Mika Singh that she had on social media, but the actress hinted at the fact that it was all part of the show, Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti. At the end of the interview, Akanksha also admitted that both of them are currently busy with their respective professional commitment. She concluded:
"We are protective of each other and respect each other. We both individually have had bitter experiences in life, so we are going slow. We don't hold hands or indulge in any PDA because we know where we stand. Also, currently, we are busy working; in fact, we are both workaholics and understand each other's professional commitments."
On the professional front, if reports are to be believed, Akanksha Puri will be next seen in a web series.
