It was on the sets of Dhoom 2 when Abhishek and the former Miss World, Aishwarya had fallen for each other and while shooting for Guru, Abhishek had decided to propose his ladylove, Aishwarya. After four years of marital bliss, Abhishek and Aishwarya had embraced parenthood and had welcomed their baby girl, Aaradhya Bachchan.

In a throwback interview with the Vogue, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had talked about the qualities of Abhishek and had said, "I love that Abhi is this mix of a well-mannered, chivalrous boy and a knight in shining armour. He's easy, mad, tough—the way all men are. He just embraces life. I couldn't be with a guy who kept counting calories."
According to Aishwarya, faith plays a vital role in any relationship. Talking about her mantra for a happy and successful marriage, the Raavan actress had stated, "Keep the faith. Believe in it, heart, mind and soul. The body will follow anyway! Be brutally frank with yourself. You are your own best friend. Experience everything for real, and you will cherish it forever."
Post their wedding in 2007, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had flown to Tirupati for their post-wedding puja when they had posed for the first time as Mrs and Mrs Bachchan for the paparazzi. While Aishwarya had swooned her fans in her bahu avatar as she had donned a red-coloured saree and had accentuated her look with mangalsutra and sindoor, Abhishek had complemented his wife in a white kurta.

Abhishek Bachchan is a proud husband and has always spoken heartfelt words for his ‘superwoman’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. One such instance that proved how proud Abhishek is of Aishwarya, is when he had tweeted a lovely note for his wife on Twitter. On September 09, 2018, Aishwarya was awarded the prestigious Meryl Streep Award for Excellence at the first edition of Women In Film and Television (WIFT) India. The doting and proud husband couldn’t control his excitement and had tweeted, “And the Mrs. is awarded the Meryl Streep award for excellence at WIFT. The little one gives her a congratulatory hug, and I look on (to the photo) a very proud husband!”
