One of the most popular sitcoms, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been winning millions of hearts for a longer period of time. However, for quite some days, the show has been going through a challenging phase. The show’s producer, Asit Modi, operations head, Sohail Ramani and executive producer, Jatin Bajaj have been terribly accused by several actresses on the show of ill-treatment and misbehaviour. Now, Priya Ahuja, aka 'Rita Reporter' of TMKOC, opened up about her ordeal on the show.
In an interview with Etimes, Priya Ahuja revealed that the behaviour of the show, TMKOC's producer, Asit Modi and his team changed after she tied the knot with director, Malav Rajda. The actress mentioned that she had to go through mental harassment. Priya added that her track in the show was reduced without giving any prior clue to her, and even though she messaged Asit Modi quite a few times, he didn't respond. Priya mentioned that Sohail too, didn't give any importance to her claims. She said:
"Mujhe aap ne 9 months se show par nahi bulaya because your relationship with Malav ended and aapne uske baad mujhe makkhi ki tarah Nikal ke phek diya…"

Prior to this, Monika Bhadoriya opened up about the ill-treatment, she experienced while working on the show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. For the unversed, the actress portrayed the character ‘Bawri’ in the show and garnered immense love and praise from the audiences. However, after some time in 2019, Monika left the show due to some conflict with the show’s producer, Asit Modi and other important people in the production. In a conversation with the Hindustan Times, Monika revealed how Asit Modi tortured her and didn’t clear her dues, which equated to around Rs. 4-5 lakhs.

Sharing more about her time on the show, Monika revealed how Asit told her to report on the set despite knowing that her mother had passed away due to cancer. The actress shared that Asit’s team called her and said they were paying her money, which was why it was her duty to come on the sets whenever they called her. Moreover, Monika mentioned that Asit called himself ‘God’.
