Aditya Narayan has a powerful surname and the millennial singer is trying his level best to match up to his father, singing sensation of the 90s, Udit Narayan. Aditya has been involved in a lot of controversies, the latest being his rumoured link up with singing sensation, Neha Kakkar. Neha was the judge of the eleventh season of Indian Idol and Aditya was the host of the show, who was completely bowled by her. He had left no chance to flirt with the gorgeous Neha and had not left a single attempt to woo her.
Now, in an interview with SpotboyE, Aditya opened up about the link up rumours with Neha and also clarified his relationship status. When asked whether the rumours about his relationship with Neha are true or was it a publicity gimmick, Aditya replied, “No, it wasn't a publicity stunt at all. In other shows also, I used to flirt with Neha aur tab bhi humari shaadi ki baatein hoti thi. Nobody took it that seriously. But this time it became serious because of few reasons- Firstly, ek toh hum dono ki shaadi ki umar ho chuki hai, secondly, she is super-successful in her career right now & I am also doing decent. So, people think of us as an ideal match. And thirdly, 90s ka ek episode tha jiske liye Alka ji aayi thi aur Papa aaye the.. Teaser mein aise laga ki Papa specially haath maangne aaye hai, lekin aisa kuch nahi tha. Though creative team is to be blamed but thik hai isiliye unhe creative bulaate hai. Media never asked us, teaser dekh ke they wrote their own Aditya & Neha's love story.”
He also stated that they share a great bond and have immense respect for each other, but apart from that there is nothing between them. He also praised Neha and stated that she is not only a great singer but also a very nice human being, who does a lot of charity. He went on to say that they are Shah Rukh and Kajol of the music industry and also hope that she will soon settle down with somebody but their on-screen romance will be continued. He also talked about his relationship status and whether he is in a committed relationship with someone else. Giving a hint about being in a relationship, Aditya retorted, “Samajne walo ko ishaara kaafi hai. Painter jab painting karta hai usko bataane ki jaroorat nahi padhti hai kya paint kiya hai, log samjh jaate hai. So, I am an artist aur artists jaise aashiq mijaaz insaan, mujhe nahi lagta single hote honge.”
Sometime back, in an interview with Telly Chakkar, renowned singer and Aditya’s father, Udit Narayan has revealed that he had asked his son to marry Neha amidst the marriage spoof. He had stated, “You won’t believe I keep teasing Aditya with Neha and I have told him to marry her. But, he ignores me and says he wants to focus on his career.
