Son of actor, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman has been ruling the headlines for his recent breakup with his girlfriend, Splitsvilla fame, Maera Mishra. A few days back, Maera had confirmed the news of her breakup with Adhyayan and that they are no longer a couple. Talking about their relationship, the two were quite vocal about their love for each other. In an interview with the Bombay Times, Maera had revealed that she had a huge crush on Adhyayan ever since she had watched him in Raaz – The Mystery Continues. On March 12, 2021, Adhyayan had taken to his IG stories and had posted a cryptic statement about his breakup with Maera Mishra. Stating that he wanted to focus on his work, the actor had written, “Hello, all I would like to say at this stage is that I have great respect for all women, right from my mother to sister to close friends and even more so for the ones that I have shared fond memories with. My upbringing does not allow me to wash dirty linen in public and I want to learn from my past mistakes and not say anything to anyone at this stage. My focus is my work which is in the public domain and I look forward to releasing my new song very soon. I request you to respect the privacy of me and my family as well.”
In an interview with SpotboyE, Adhyayan Suman talked about turning into an alcoholic and developing anxiety issues after his breakup that had happened seven-eight years ago. Talking about the same, Adhyayan revealed, “After my heartbreak, at one point of time I turned into an alcoholic. Because I felt like mere andar itna dard hai ki main is dard ko bardaash nahi kar paa raha (I felt I had so much pain in me that I couldn't bear it). Now, I feel it was all filmy. But that time I was young 25-26 and probably didn't gain as much wisdom. Zindagi ko itna kareeb se maine nahi dekha tha tab (I had not seen life so closely). It was 7-8 years back. I developed anxiety issues which I am still dealing with.”
Without taking any names, the actor revealed that the person he was madly-in-love with had left him when he had badly wanted her to stay. Adhyayan revealed how he had managed to move on, “I was in love with somebody whom I never wanted to leave but she left. You have to face it and move on. You can't force somebody to stay with you. Life is a gift and we should not give up on it for anybody. You can do a lot with your life if you channel your energies positively. Adhyayan was earlier dating Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut and was quite serious about her. The two had hit it off while shooting for their film, Raaz – The Mystery Continues and before we knew it, the two were officially a couple and had made appearances together everywhere. But destiny had other plans and soon they had parted ways on a bitter note. Adhyayan had changed his number and had even left the country post their breakup.
In an interview with The Times of India, Maera Mishra had revealed what had gone wrong between her and Adhyayan, and had said, "I was very serious about this relationship and thought that this one was for keeps, but it wasn't meant to be. Things failed to work out between us. I fell in love with a different man. Once I started living with him, I realised that he was quite different from what I had expected. There was also a communication gap. We barely spoke to each other for almost two months as I got busy with the shoot of my TV show and he was shooting for his project. All I want to say at this point is that I am now averse to dating anyone associated with the industry."
