Filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap’s daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Shane Gregoire, on May 20, 2023, in Bali. The 22-year-old shared the happy news with her fans on her social media handle, leaving everyone stunned. And now, Aaliyah has treated her fans with exclusive glimpses of Shane Gregoire’s heartwarming proposal.
In her recent vlog, Aaliyah Kashyap revealed the behind-the-scenes preparations that led to the beautiful moment that marked a new chapter in their lives. Giving a closer look at her 3-day outing, the young social media influencer revealed how the secret proposal was meticulously planned. Talking about how he got the idea to propose to Aaliyah amidst the greenery, Shane said:
“More than anything, I want it to be intimate. Just me and Aaliyah. I don’t want to do anything big and grand. That’s not my style, and I don’t think it’s Aaliyah’s either. Just want to keep it super personal, and have to figure out a way to get that filmed, because I think it’s too special of a moment to not have filmed, that we can show our children…”

Flaunting her engagement ring in the vlog, Aaliyah revealed that her beau, Shane managed to give her the ‘dream ring’ that she had wanted for years. She added that they both were crying after the dreamy moment as they couldn't believe what happened. In her words:
“We got engaged yesterday. I was not expecting it to happen. Oh my God guys. Look at this ring. He did such a good job with this ring. It’s literally my dream ring that I’ve had on my Pinterest for god knows how many long. He did such a good job. We were both crying a lot yesterday. I was crying for three hours straight."
Recalling the moment, Aaliyah revealed that she was getting her nails done when Shane asked her to get ready soon as he wanted to take her to a ‘cool sunset’ spot. Since she didn't know what was cooking in her partner's mind, Aaliyah couldn’t understand why he was making haste. Aaliyah also revealed that Shane was driving like a crazy person as he did not want to miss the sunset. She said:
“I couldn’t Vlog after getting my nails done yesterday because he picked me up and he was like we need to go. I found this really cool sunset spot, and I was like ‘Okay sure’. Then we went to this sunset place, and he kept rushing me to get ready. He was driving like a madman because the sun was almost setting. I was so confused why he was driving like a crazy person and when he got there, it was just the sweetest thing to happen.”
