9 Fun And Romantic Things Newly-Weds Can Do On A Tiring Holi Evening

In North India, unlike festivals like the first Diwali and first Karva Chauth, the first Holi is more chilled out one for the newly-weds. Not many believe in celebrating it in a very grand way. It is more of fun, food, friends and family time.

But as interesting, fun and awesome the Holi morning is where you eat gujias, have bhang shots, dance in the water and just let your hair down, the following evening is rather boring and lazy, especially if you and your spouse stay alone in a nuclear family set up. Why let half of your day be amazing, and the other half uninteresting? So, here are ways all you newly-weds can make your Holi evening- an evening to remember!

#1. A house party with close friends

Since playing with all that water will obviously make you little tired, the newly-weds can catch up on some sleep in the Holi afternoon and then in the evening, just have your close friends over at your place, order for some food and drinks. Just relax, rewind, chit-chat, dance, sing and have a gala time.

#2. A short road trip

Clean up all the Holi colours, catch up on your relaxing nap, pack up and drive away for a peaceful romantic getaway with your bae. If the newly-wedded couples can manage more leaves, then plan a short vacay, if not, then go in for a nearby destination that you can cover in a day.

If the newly-married couple happens to be staying alone and do not get the time to meet the rest of their family quite often because of your and their hectic work schedules, make use of the festival holiday to catch up. After the newly-weds are done playing Holi, they can relax a bit and then go meet their family, in-laws and spend some quality family time together during the Holi evening.

And believe us, it will be much more romantic Holi evening for newly-weds, than it sounds here.

#5. Volunteer to clean up

The roads become very dirty after Holi evening. Arrange for a society cleaning marathon and clean your entire colony, the roads, the walls etc. together. Later, you can all sit together in the colony park and enjoy some ordered refreshments.

#6. Help the street animals clean up

A lot of uncaring, inhumane and uneducated people torture street animals by putting harsh chemical colours on them, which cause skin infections and severe itching. These animals are helpless and innocent. Care for them and along with your friends; make an effort to clean the chemicals and colours off them. You will feel blessed and blissful seeing their happy wagging tails after you are done.

Because you are obviously tired to do anything like making dinner. Also, your busy work timings do not give you a lot of time to watch movies. So, just go and see a nice movie and have dinner outside. Or, even better! Order dinner at home, sit comfy in your bed and watch your favourite movies together on your laptop. Newly-weds can make their Holi evenings relaxing and a chilled-out date!
