And Bollywood singer, Shreya Ghoshal is happily enjoying her marital bliss with her childhood sweetheart, Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya. For those who don't know, Shreya and her husband, Shiladitya have known each other from a young age. The duo fell in love with each other inside the walls of their school and despite their professional commitments, they kept their love alive. On February 5, 2015, Shreya had married the man of her dreams, Shiladitya in a Bengali ceremony and in the presence of her close family and friends. She had shared the news of her marriage on her Twitter handle and her tweet could be read as "Married the love of my life yesterday night (5th Feb) in a beautiful Bengali traditional wedding in presence of our families and closest friends. Shiladitya and I both seek your good wishes in this exciting new phase of our lives!"
On February 5, 2020, Shreya took to her Instagram handle and shared unseen pictures of herself from her wedding with Shiladitya. In one the pictures, she wrote, "5 years! Time flies!" The pictures beautifully narrated her being a bride journey. She was dressed in a red banarasi sareewith golden embroidery which was teamed with heavy gold jewellery. Shreya's husband, Shiladitya also took to his Instagram handle and posted a note for their 5th wedding anniversary. His note can be read as "A decade and five years for these kids living the dream - blue skies always @shreyaghoshal". Last year, Shreya had penned a special note for her husband, Shiladitya's birthday. She had shared a picture with him on her Instagram handle, and had written, "Happy birthday my love @shiladitya .. Be happy, healthy, always smiling. We are growing older together, but with you, I always feel 16.. You are the best husband, son, brother, a friend in the world. I love you so much!!!"
In an interview with the Asian Age, Shreya had talked about her hush-hush wedding. She had shared, "I’ve always been a private person. I didn’t want to drop a hint about the wedding because the media would have put it all over. I wanted a simple wedding with family and childhood friends in attendance. Plus, the wedding was decided at the last minute. I married my best friend. We’ve known each other for more than 10 years, so life hasn’t changed much after marriage. He is not connected to my industry; he’s a techie and an academician but he is fond of music and has a good understanding of it. Life is perfect now."
