Shehnaaz Gill was seen head-over-heels in love with Sidharth Shukla in the 13th season of Bigg Boss. The self-acclaimed ‘Punjab ki Katrina Kaif’ had, however, later, accepted that she and Sidharth were only friends as she could not force her feelings on him. Yet, their fans had prayed for them to eventually become a couple. Well, everyone's dreams were shattered with Sidharth's sudden demise on September 2, 2021.
Throughout Bigg Boss 13, Shehnaaz Gill had taught us that despite all the fights and altercations, when you love someone, you have to stand by their side. It used to look that for Shehnaaz all that matters inside the Bigg Boss house was Sidharth Shukla and their cute bond had garnered them a huge fan following, who lovingly call them ‘Sidnaaz’. When Shehnaaz Gill had turned 28 on January 27, 2021, taking to her IG handle, she had shared two videos from her birthday celebration. She had ringed in her birthday with her alleged boyfriend, late Sidharth Shukla, and his mother and sister, too, had joined them. In one of the videos, Shehnaaz could be seen wearing a satin white night suit and cutting her birthday cake as everyone had sung the birthday song for her. We could also see Sidharth’s mother and sister happily celebrating Shehnaaz’s birthday. Well, not just Sidharth had joined Shehnaaz's birthday party, Shehnaaz, too, was spotted celebrating the late actor's 40th birthday. Taking to her IG handle, Shehnaaz had shared a video with Sidharth, wishing him on his birthday. The video had looked like the one from Sidharth’s birthday celebrations and had created a storm amongst their fans. Sharing the video, Shehnaaz had written, “Happy birthday to u @realsidharthshukla.” Other than this, a fan page of 'Sidnaaz' had shared a video of Sidharth’s cake cutting ceremony and Shehnaaz’s voice was quite evident in the video as she had sung the birthday song for him. On September 3, 2021, the nation had bid adieu to Sidharth Shukla’s mortal remains. After the news of his death had broken out, everyone was worried about Shehnaaz Gill and his mother, Rita Shukla. When Shehnaaz had made an appearance for his funeral, it had broken everyone’s heart into pieces. Shehnaaz was seen leaving for the Oshiwara crematorium along with her brother, Shehbaz Badesha, looking heartbroken and weak.
