Pavitra Punia had won the hearts of the toofani seniors, Gauahar Khan, Sidharth Shukla and Hina Khan on the first day of her entry in the reality show. The actress had offered various flavours to the audience, from her love interest in co-contestant, Eijaz Khan to her gruesome fights with the contestants. However, outside the house her relationship with BB 13 contestant, Paras Chhabra was making the headlines as he had revealed that the actress was married to a hotelier, Sumit Maheshwari when she was dating him. Now, Sumit has made some shocking claims about Pavitra and his relationship.
In an interview with a YouTube channel, Fifafooz, Pavitra’s alleged husband, Sumit has claimed that he is still married with Pavitra and she had cheated on him four times. Pavitra had never acknowledged her marriage with Sumit on the show, however, she had hinted that she was engaged and had a fiancé. Sumit claimed, “We are still husband and wife. We got engaged and we were married also, but she didn’t disclose it.” He further accused Pavitra of having affairs four times, during their marriage, and named Paras Chhabra and Pratik Sehajpal to be the ones she had cheated on him with. He shared, “I had texted Paras when I found out about their relationship.” Continuing he said, “I told him that you can be in a relationship with her but wait till we get a divorce. My family is involved. I still have a tattoo of her on my hand. Nothing has changed from my side.”
For the uninitiated ones, Pavitra was earlier happily engaged to a businessman, Sumit Maheshwari. In an interview with Tellybuzz, she had retorted, "Yes, I am engaged to Sumit. I had met him in Amby Valley through a common friend, where I had gone for Reiki. I absolutely loved the place and fell in love with him there." And Sumit had also revealed that it was love at first sight for him. He had remarked, "It was love at first sight. I saw Pavitra and fell in love with her. Earlier in an interview with ETimes TV, Paras Chhabra had also confessed that Pavitra was married when she was dating him and had hidden this fact from him. Talking about how Pavitra had hidden about her marriage with Paras when they were dating, Paras had revealed, “Pavitra has rightly said that Paras was her mistake because a married woman can’t be dating and fooling me. It was alarming to know this when her husband messaged me and said you both could be with each other as much as you want but only after my divorce with her.”
He had further revealed that it was after the message from Pavitra’s husband that she had confessed about her marriage. He had also shared that he further got to know a lot about Pavitra and things can go against her if he opens his mouth. In Paras’ words, “I confronted her and she agreed, then I got to know one after other shocking revelations about her. I don't want to open my mouth right now. I could be explosive right now, but time will tell and it will show during her stint in BB. If I open my mouth things can go against her and it won't be good. She hid about her marriage from me."
