The dialogue did touch the right chord in so many of us, making all of us look for a good friend in our life partner. While we talk about ‘just friends’, reality show, Bigg Boss 13, had given us one such couple that has always called each other friends only. Yes, we are talking about Paras Chhabra and Mahira Sharma. Recently, there were speculations doing the rounds about the two doing a movie together. However for the longest, there were no confirmations, Paras and Mahira have finally confirmed the rumours in a live chat with Bollywood Life. Post the success of their song 'Baarish', Paras and Mahira will soon feature in a Punjabi movie.
In the live chat with Bollywood Life, Mahira confirmed the news to be true and being offered a film together. The actress said, "This is true. We have been offered a film together. I am excited to work with Paras and I’m super comfortable working with him. Masti, masti mein shoot nikal denge." On the other hand, Paras Chhabra also confirmed the news saying, "Yes, we are offered a Punjabi film together." Paras also accepted the news about being offered a Punjabi movie with his 'good friend' Mahira. The duo did not talk much about the project, but according to some reports, the movie will go live on floors soon after the Coronavirus lockdown is lifted.
Earlier, in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Paras had opened up about his relationship with Mahira. When he was asked about his plans to get married to Mahira, Paras had said, “'Yeh kab hua?’ (When did this happen). And then he had added, If Mahira and I are destined to get hitched, then we might just end up tying the knot in the next 21 days of lockdown. Mahira had also talked about her bond with Paras in a chat with Pinkvilla during an Instagram live. She had stated that their bond is very strong and amidst the quarantine, she is in constant touch with Paras, who is like her family. She had also revealed that she shares a great bond with Paras’ mother.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Mahira was asked about the allegations of being the reason behind Paras and Akanksha’s breakup. Mahira had said, “I wanted to make one thing very clear that had I been the reason behind Paras and Akanksha’s breakup I would have been his girlfriend today. I am a very straightforward person when it comes to relationships whether it is with friends or a partner. I was very clear that he was already involved with someone and being a girl I can respect another girl’s feelings.”
In an interview with the TellyChakkar, Paras had added some fuel into the already existing rumours of him dating his ‘good friend’ Mahira. The actor had talked about the speed-dial feature on his smartphone and had revealed that he only has three numbers, out of which two are of his mother and father and the third one is of Mahira Sharma.
