#1. Sandalwood

We all know that sandalwood is just excellent when it comes to beautifying your skin. The elements in sandalwood help reducing melanin production in skin thereby lightening your skin. It also clears the marks and scars on the face.

Method:

Mix sandalwood powder with either rose or plain water. Apply the paste evenly on your face and neck area. Wash it off with normal water. This popular home remedy will diminish the dark spots and will give you a bleached skin in a couple of weeks.

Mix 2 eating spoons of yoghurt with gram flour or rice powder to form a paste. Apply as a face mask all over the skin. Let the application rest for at least 15 minutes. Rinse off gently with cold water.

Squeeze half an orange into a bowl. Add honey or multani mitti (fuller’s earth) to make a face pack. Apply it all over your face and neck. Wash off the paste after 15-20 minutes. This is one of the most workable home remedies to play safe with skin tanning or pigmentation.

Take the pulp of a ripe mango and add gram flour (besan) to it. Mix well to form a smooth paste and apply on your skin. Wash off after 20 minutes. Repeat the process for at least twice a week, and you will get the shiny and clear skin back.
