Actress, Jaya Bachchan is one of the most recognised actresses of the Hindi film industry and has gifted some of the most admirable films to audiences. While the young bong beauty had started her journey in the industry, little had she known that she would be such a big name one day. Not just that, besides her professional achievements, she also aced her role as a wife to Amitabh Bachchan and mother to Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
For the unversed, Big B had fallen for Jaya Bachchan (then Bhaduri) on the sets of their film, Ek Nazar and got married in 1973. Their kids, Abhishek and Shweta, are quite famous owing to the achievements of their parents as well their personal excellence in their respective fields. Both of them share a very close-knit bond with their parents. Therefore, as Jaya Bachchan completed her golden jubilee years in the industry, her son, Abhishek Bachchan, couldn't help but beam with joy.

On September 25, 2021, Jaya Bachchan completed a long journey of 50 years in the entertainment industry. To mark the special day, her son, Abhishek Bachchan, took to his IG handle and dropped some nostalgic frames from her movies and penned an adorable note for his dearest mommy. He captioned the pictures as ''I'm so grateful to be her son, and to see her complete 50 YEARS in the film industry is a moment of pride. Happy 50 years of cinema Ma, I love you.''
On the other hand, Abhishek's sister, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, reposted a picture from a fan page on her Instagram stories. The picture was a still from Jaya Bachchan's movie, Guddi. Atop the story, Shweta wrote, ''Onwards and upwards Mama'' and also added a ''50 never looked so good'' sticker.

Over the years, Abhishek Bachchan has expressed how much he loves and respects his mother, Jaya Bachchan. He was also quite vocal that she has been with him in his life’s most important moments. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, the actor had revealed that his mother gangs up with his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, whenever he has a fight with his wifey.
Stating that Aishwarya and Jaya Bachchan corner him as they start talking in Bengali, Abhishek had explained his helplessness. He had revealed, “Ma and Ash gang up against me and they keep rattling on in Bengali. (Laughs) Mom knows the language because she is Bengali and Aishwarya had worked with Rituda (the late Rituparno Ghosh) in Chokher Bali, so she also can speak the language quite well. So whenever they have to team up against me, they start talking in Bengali.”
