One of the most eligible bachelors in India is tying the knot this year. Yes, I am talking about The Varun Gandhi wedding. BJP leader Maneka Gandhi announced that her son Feroze Varun Gandhi is getting married to Yamini Roy Chowdhury who hails from Shantiniketan (West Bengal). Yamini graduated from St. Stephen’s college in Delhi and then went to France and pursued a course in fashion designing. The wedding is taking place on the sixth of March at Shankaracharya temple on Hanuman Ghat in Varanasi. This would be one of the most talked about and spectacular political weddings as the top notch leaders, corporate and Bollywood stars would grace the reception with their benign presence. The ceremony in temple however would be a humble one, with only close friends, family members and the Kings of erstwhile provinces in Uttar Pradesh.
The cold war which is evident between Sonia and Maneka did not stop Varun from inviting Aunt Sonia and Cousin Rahul Gandhi for the wedding. In fact Varun personally drove down to Sonia Gandhi’s residence to invite her. This news is legendary as this is the first time ever Varun personally went to Sonia’s residence since he joined the BJP. People are speculating that there are very little chances of Sonia gracing the wedding with her presence. Varun has cordially invited his cousins Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi as well since he shares a good camaraderie with both of them and Varun had attended Priyanka’s wedding as well.
