Dharmendra and his two actor sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol got immense success in their careers in 2023. While Dharmendra blew minds with his appearance in the film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, his lip-lock moment with Shabana Azmi also garnered huge attention. Following this, the Deol family saw Sunny's Gadar 2's blockbuster release at the box office, and finally, it was Bobby's performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal that needs no more explanation. Now, Sunny credited the secret behind the achievements in his family to his daughter-in-law, Drisha Acharya.
For the unversed, Sunny Deol and his wife, Pooja Deol's elder son, Karan Deol, made his acting debut with his father's directorial debut film, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, in 2019. And Karan tied the knot with the love of his life, Drisha Acharya in June 2023. Thus, as the doting father-in-law, Sunny appeared on the sets of the popular reality show, The Kapil Sharma Show along with his brother, Bobby, is now all praises for his bahu to bring so much luck into the family.

During the conversation, Sunny talked about his family's struggles over the years. He mentioned that despite working for a long period, they could not bring so much success altogether. Afterwards, he revealed that his family began flourishing professionally after welcoming his daughter-in-law, Drisha Acharya. While getting emotional, Sunny shared:
“There have been many years, so many events have unfolded. We've all worked on various fronts. Various things were happening. We were putting in our best efforts. It wasn't that we weren't trying. I was involved in many things, so was Bobby (Deol), and even Papa (Dharmendra). However, all of a sudden, with my son's marriage, and the arrival of a daughter at our home, the atmosphere completely changed.”
Further, explaining his recent successes, Sunny added that he has seen a number of things happening in his, Bobby and Dharmendra's career graph, but the progress he witnessed after welcoming his bahu was beyond explanation. He then called Drisha as his beti and mentioned her homecoming was lucky for the Deols. In Sunny's words:
“Since the 1960s, Papa has been here, and we've been in the same limelight. We've seen so many things, arriving and departing in their own time. But the current unfolding of events, along with past occurrences, and the love we're receiving from people…. People have always loved us. We get a lot of love, Papa is loved a lot. And that's why Bobby and I receive a lot of love. But, somehow we were perplexed why things aren't falling into place. But then, the beti (daughter) came home. Then Gadar came. Papa's film had released before that. And after that, Animal came. All records were broken.”

On September 18, 2023, Karan Deol took to his IG handle to shared lovey-dovey pictures with his wife, Drisha Acharya to mark their three-month wedding anniversary. One picture featured a candid moment of Karan and Drisha engrossed in each other's company. In the following monochrome picture, Drisha was seen placing her head on Karan's shoulder while the actor was busy adoring his wifey. The then newly married couple twinned in matching-hued ensembles. Sharing the photos, Karan called his darling wife his 'forever home', and wrote:
"My better half and my forever home..."
