The year 2020 had given ultimate happiness to many celebrity couples as many of them had welcomed a little bundle of joy in their lives. One of them was Permanent Roommates and Tripling, actor Sumeet Vyas and his Mere Angane Mein fame wife, Ekta Kaul. After a wait of nine months, the couple had welcomed their 'permanent roommate' on June 3, 2020, as Ekta had given birth to a baby boy, whom they have named Ved. Since then, the star parents have been treating their fans with glimpses of their life with Junior Kaul-Vyas.

After teasing their fans with partial glimpses of their baby boy, Ved, it was on July 12, 2020, that the doting parents had shared the first-ever picture of him on their respective IG handles. While Sumeet had called Ved to be mamma's boy, the doting mommy, Ekta Kaul had talked about how her little one has made the tough job of being a mother, worthwhile for her!
For parents, every little milestone of their baby counts and if it is his/her first birth, it calls for a celebration. Ekta Kaul and Sumeet Vyas’s baby boy turned one year old and the star parents have poured their heart out for him. Taking to his IG handle, Sumeet shared a video with Ved, where he can be seen waiting for his father in a car and then giggling with laughter meeting him. The father-son can be seen twinning in white as they both wore a white t-shirt. Sharing the video, Sumeet wrote, “Happy 1st birthday Ved. You mean the world to me. . . And I’ll never stop kissing your neck. Even when you’re Older and with someone, remember, I told you this...” On the other hand, Ekta shared the Runway Aurora trend video with her son, Ved on her IG handle. Ekta can be seen helping Ved walk in the garden of their house, twinning in white. She wished Ved on his first birthday as “And we are 1.. One year of sheer bliss, happiness and pure love.. Happy birthday Veda.. I love you.. #oneyearofmotherhood #manymoretogo.”
When baby Ved had turned 6-months-old on December 3, 2020, his star parents, Ekta Kaul and Sumeet Vyas had shared their joy. Mommy, Ekta Kaul had taken to her IG stories and had shared a love-filled picture with her little munchkin, Ved and had written, "Six months of motherhood. Six months of pure love. Also, Veda is six months old. Happy six to us" atop it. The doting daddy, Sumeet Vyas had reshared the picture on his IG handle. When Ved had turned three-month-old, the doting mommy, Ekta Kaul had penned some beautiful lines for him on her IG handle. Sharing a cute video of little Ved's pretty little feet, Ekta had written, "His little feet making biggest footprints!! Going further already.. #3monthsofmotherhoodandcounting #maadalaadla #veda."

Post the birth of his firstborn, Sumeet Vyas had revealed the reason for naming their son, Ved. Narrating the story behind it, Sumeet had said, "Long ago, one of our relatives was having a child, and we were discussing names when Ved came up and stayed with me. I decided if I have a boy, I'll name him Ved. Since we come from the line of, it makes sense." Describing the emotions of becoming a father, Sumeet had said, "You do all those clichéd things that you once laughed at. Humans are so predictable." Revealing that it was a normal delivery, Sumeet had continued, "We couldn't trust a multi-facility hospital at a time like this. It was a normal delivery and both Ekta and Ved are doing fine."
