Popular actress, Somya Seth has been living in the US with her son, Ayden for the past five years, and she recently tied the knot with her boyfriend, Subham Chuhadia. For the unversed, Somya, who rose to fame with the show, Navya… Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal, left India after her wedding to a US-based businessman, Arun Kapoor, in January 2017. However, after going through several ups and downs, the actress fought for divorce from her ex-husband, Arun, and got custody of her child, Ayden. Now, she has found love again in life.
In an interview with ETimes, Somya Seth opened up about her wedding with her boyfriend, Subham Chuhadia. The actress shared that they had their haldi and mehendi ceremony on June 21, 2023, and the next day, they tied the knot in a white wedding. Revealing that they took their wedding vows as in the TV show, Friends-style, Somya added that only their close ones were present at the wedding. She said:
"Well, we gave our parents one day, June 21 wherein we both agreed to do whatever they wanted - so they did haldi and mehendi. And June 22 was all about Shubham and I doing our way. Shubhangi Chuhadia, Shubham's sister, got ordained and as in the TV show Friends-style, we took our vows. There were no guests. Only the most important people in our lives like our immediate family members and just a couple of friends were invited to our wedding."

Somya talked about her love story with her husband, Shubham and shared how the two of them met. Sharing the details, the actress revealed that before the pandemic, she was looking for a larger apartment for her son, Ayden since he was growing up so fast. And when she rented out a room in the big apartment, Shubham became her housemate. Soon, the duo became friends, and they grew close during the tough pandemic times and then decided to be together ever since. In her words:
"Shubham is from Chittorgarh. He is the son of Dr. Anju Chouhan, who runs a well-known hospital there. He is an architect by profession and works for a firm in Washington DC. In 2019, I was trying to find a bigger place for my son Ayden since he was growing up so fast. I decided to rent out a room in the big apartment I rented, and that's how Shubh came into the picture. From housemates, we became friends and we grew close during the tough pandemic times and then decided to be together ever since. His being part of my life has been like kintsugi. 'He is The One' is not a one-day feeling instead it's my everyday feeling."
Somya Seth's first marriage didn't work out well as she was in an abusive relationship back then. However, in the same interview, when the actress was asked if she had any apprehensions about falling in love again in life, she gave a negative response. Sharing how Shubham fits perfectly well in her life, Somya said:
"Not at all! I had no apprehensions because it was just normal to be with him. It was more like we fit into the puzzle perfectly kind of feeling."

Somya Seth also shared that when she looks back on life now, she feels that things were meant to happen. However, she added that sometimes she gets amazed by the turn of events, but at other times she is thankful to God for how things turned out in her life. In her words:
"When I look back I do feel whatever happened was because it was meant to be for where I am today. Somedays I am amazed and other days it feels like I always knew this is how things were supposed to be!"
Further in the interview, Somya was asked about the bond between her husband, Shubham and her son, Ayden. Responding to the same, the actress shared that the two are close to each other and they are like best friends. Revealing that Ayden was ready for her and Shubham's wedding, Somya said:
"Ayden loves Shubh from day one. They are best friends. He was ready for this (our wedding). Aden knows he can completely rely on Shubh and you know he was really happy to see everyone all dressed up at our wedding."
