We all know that Shahid has always remained tight-lipped during his wedding. In fact, he took quite a lot of time to officially announce it to the media. But, before he told about his wedding to the world, he spoke about it to none other than her ex-girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Yes, you heard it right! As per a report by Miss Malini, Shahid met his ex-girlfriend, Kareena at an event where the two were performing. And, that was when he told her about his marriage. The actress said:
“Both of us were performing at a Femina event. We chatted. So, he actually told me about him getting married before he told the media. I’m very happy for him. He’s doing very well professionally… I haven’t seen Haider yet, but my sister saw it and loved it. And I can vouch for marriage being cool. I’d just like to wish him well.”
In another report by Business Standard, Kareena Kapoor quoted as saying:
"I was aware about his marriage. Shahid had told me he is getting married. I am happy. Marriage is a beautiful commitment and I wish him all the best."
And, on being asked then if she would attend Shahid's wedding in case she was invited, Kareena said, "Yes, I would."

Well, this is not all that proves, things were all good between Shahid and Kareena. At the opening ceremony of IPL 8 (Indian Premier League), Kareena’s hubby, Saif Ali Khan, and Shahid came face-to-face. While the two were expected to share an awkward moment, it was totally different scenario because when bumped to each other, Saif congratulated him for his wedding with Meera Rajput. In fact, a source present at that event also quoted by a tabloid saying:
“Shahid and Saif did bump into each other. But surprisingly there was no awkwardness whatsoever. In fact, Saif congratulated him on the wedding news and wished him luck.”
They always maintained a distance from each other post their break up. But, with this sweet little incident, it looks like their differences vanished before they got married which surely is a mature way to handle your break up before your wedding.
And, we are happy to see that both the couple- Shahid and his wife Meera Rajput and Saif Ali Khan and wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan are happily married with their respective cutesy kids, Misha and Taimur.
