Despite reaching huge success and making impeccable achievements these days, it turns out to be of no use as the netizens find one way or the other to harass people. From posting mean comments on one's looks, body shape or behaviour during their public appearances, trolling has become extremely prevalent these days. Thus, something similar happened with a teenage girl from Uttar Pradesh, who topped the Class 10 state board examinations with immense determination and hard work. And even after this, she faced brutal social media scrutiny for her looks.
Prachi Nigam is a teenage girl who succeeded in the Class 10 state board examinations in Uttar Pradesh. Hailing from the small village of Sitapur, Prachi is a student of Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College. She secured 591 marks out of 600, making it a stunning 98.5 per cent. Thus, she could grab the top position in the same. Following her win, she opened up about the same in an interview with India Today. She mentioned how her hard work has paid off and mentioned:
"I prepared well, but the number one position was not on my mind. I am proud that my hard work has paid off."

According to reports, Prachi's father is a contractor in Sitapur, and her mother is a homemaker. In another interview with ANI, the topper credited her father for her success. Moreover, she also revealed her wish to be admitted to IIT and pursue higher studies at the institute. She aspires to become an engineer, and thus, she mentioned preparing for the IIT-JEE exam.
Prachi achieved such a great position in her life. However, soon after the UP government declared the 10th and 12th standard board exam results on April 20, 2024, social media users started criticising her appearance. The Class 10 topper was being bullied for her natural facial hair, and this also began a meme fest, wherein certain editing tools beautified her face.

Nonetheless, many other netizens came in support of Prachi Nigam and bashed those who posted mean comments about her looks. These netizens talked about the alleged reason behind such facial hair growth in Prachi and mentioned that one such reason might be that she is having some hormonal changes at this time and nothing more. Moreover, netizens commented on the baseless beauty standards that need to be removed in order to give more importance to a person's achievements.
